Unpretentious local restaurant with tasteful cape verdean food.

The restaurant is medium sized but it gets full quickly at lunch time, particularly during week days, so either arrive early or face a line. There are a few dishes to choose from, being cachupa and the cachupa refogada their specialities. There are also a few daily options, which may be included in a lunch set menu. The drinks list is less inspired.

The restaurant gets busy and with it so does the noise. Which noise absorption finishes would greatly improve without much investment. The staff is hectic and getting their attention requires some perseverance. Payment is done by the counter, at the end of the meal.

Tivemos uma ótima experiência neste restaurante, que se destaca pelo espaço muito bonito e acolhedor, com uma localização excelente. É claramente um restaurante familiar, onde sentimos que estamos a comer aquela boa comidinha caseira saborosa, bem servida e com preços bastante acessíveis. O staff, apesar de estar visivelmente sobrecarregado, foi sempre simpático e procurou atender-nos com cuidado e atenção, o que valorizamos bastante. No entanto, o ponto negativo da nossa visita foi a desorganização inicial. Ligámos previamente para marcar mesa e informaram-nos que não aceitavam reservas, funcionando apenas por ordem de chegada. Para nossa surpresa, ao chegarmos, havia pessoas com marcação, o que gerou alguma confusão e frustração. Além disso, não havia um processo definido para gerir a espera por mesas. Só começaram a organizar os nomes e o número de pessoas por grupo depois de verem que a entrada estava cheia de clientes à espera, o que causava algum desconforto tanto aos funcionários como a quem ainda estava a almoçar.
