This was our first night at Lisbon, having just arrived that same morning. We asked the concierge at our hotel near AirPort ! The Ivens) to recommend a nearby seafood restaurant, thinking that we'll have a quick dinner and then turn in. But Sea Me was such a great place, amazing food and service, that we ended up staying for close to 2 hrs and even getting dessert! The concept of this place is basically you select the fish you eat and then they cook it for you. You don't need a lot of bells and whistles because everything is so fresh and tastes delicious. I had some local red fish, which had a very unique, rich taste (maybe the red bream) and then we shared the oysters as an appetizer (yes, please! Just had dinner here (2 of us). It was not very busy, maybe 4 tables. They have menus in Portuguese and in English. The staff is very friendly and said if we had any questions about the menu please ask. We ordered 2 bitoques, a glass of wine and a beer. Food was served in about 15 minutes. It was delicious. Portion sizes were great - not too much and not too little, food temperatures perfect. Bitoque came with rice, fries and salad. We had chocolate mousse for dessert, it was rich and the texture was a bit more like a thick pudding than mousse but the flavour was still great, I didn't mind at all. I would definitely come back to eat here. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant is a few minutes walking from the Melia and Star Inn hotels, it's beside the football field/inside the club area....

OK. Seriously unexpectedly one of our best meals on our Portugal trip. We just wanted to not eat at our hotel restaurant, so we found this spot located just minutes from the Melia and Star Hotels.

Everything was good about it. Had the feel of a neighbourhood local, highlighted by the friendliness of the staff, with quality of food that topped that of the 'fancy' and high rated restaurants in the city.

Highly recommend this place, especially if transiting and staying at the hotels.
