KFC Aeroporto Lisboa — Restaurant in Lisbon

Strange, but I have no idea why the quality was so low. It was suprising to get such a low quality tenders because all other experiences in different countries were always positive. Waited in the long line to order, then to make it - took a while, no self ordering sreens. Just due to it I rather next time just go to McDonalds near by which had multiple screens available, or just take a slice of pizza in nearby pizzahut - would have saved me 15 mins of waiting. I was hoping at least it will be a tasty experience as Im used to. But I was wrong. When I say it was bad quality - I really mean it. Had KFC tender almost anywhere in Europe + Japan etc. But this so far was really the worst. Why? Tender slices dramatically vary in thickness, it went from 3mm to something of 15 mm, for this reason some pieces were hard to chew, overcooked (ironic consoderinh it suppose to be tenders). There was no crispyness, crumbs, seems like a very lihht batter that was soaked in oil, leaving me with greasy fingers. I plan to fly more this route but will skip this place. The wait for a connection to Gambia was 6 hours, so obviously we required some refreshment. We eventually found The club, London pub where we ordered 2 drinks. Upon getting these we were presented with a bill in 'euros' which we did not have as we were going to Africa. I offered UK Sterling, but they would not accept. I apologised and went to a bureau de change and changed £20 to euros and returned to pay our debt. This only just just covered the price of a pint and a half of beer. Why call this place a London Pub if they do not accept UK Sterling? We also found that the smoking area was totally inadequate being a small circular enclosed area, which was very near to the childrens play area. Had the 8 piece hot wings meal that comes with fries and drink for 11.65 euros and added the 2 piece chicken (original) for 4.95. Thoroughly enjoyed the original chicken which had the original herb and spices with a crisp skin (which is normally not the case with OG pieces) and both pieces were large pieces (breast and thigh). This combination allowed us to try both the hot wings and original KFC chicken which were both really tasty. Hot wings were pretty close to what we get back home too.
