I hate to leave a bad review for Gohan Sushi Fusion. They sincerely tried their best to provide good food and service however they just fell short.

We opted for the all-you-can-eat option. Many of the items that were brought out at the beginning of the meal (gyoza, lumpia, croquettes) were fried dishes. The sushi rice in the rolls and nigiri was compact and not seasoned well.

Throughout the meal, we had to remind them we needed more water and other drinks. We were missing a teacup that we never received even after several reminders.

They started to bring out more traditional fish towards the back end of the meal. The sashimi was saved for last; we had to tell them we were done with the meal and ready for the last dish which is the sashimi. The quality of the fish and the presentation of the plates were very good.

We did have a larger group (12 people) which is difficult to accommodate so I do want to give them credit for doing their best. However, for being a 5-star rated restaurant on Google, I couldn't help but feel deeply disappointed, especially because this was the last meal before parting ways with friends I wouldn't see for a...

Gohan Sushi Fusion was the stop in Lisbon I didn't know I needed.

My wife got the Kung Pao Chicken with a Gyoza starter, both of which were very good.

I got the all you can eat sushi, which is different than your typical restaurant. Instead of picking rolls yourself, the chef gives you a sampler of many different rolls (I think it was 8 total for me), each with their own unique tastes. Some are more traditional, others more "western" feeling, all top-notch as far as presentation and flavor. Because you aren't picking yourself, you end up getting things you'd never try otherwise, like the rolls that include pesto or mango. I love seared salmon and there was plenty of that on the all you can eat dishes. Every single roll I had was great, and I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life. I left Gohan Sushi Fusion as full as could be, and will be talking about my experience there for a long time.

Aside from the quality of our food, our server, Pedro, was also very prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful, and supplied me with a new roll just about as soon as I finished my previous one every time. All in all, it was a...

A true culinary gem tucked away in the streets of Lisbon! This intimate and charming restaurant, run by a Brazilian owner who has called the city home for many years, offers a dining experience like no other. The warm and genuine welcome immediately sets the tone, and the Pedro’s passion for fusion cuisine is nothing short of contagious. Each sushi piece, prepared fresh by the chef right before your eyes, is accompanied by thoughtful explanations that will delight both curious minds and seasoned foodies. The flavors? Simply extraordinary! The chef’s boundless creativity shines through in every bite, blending ingredients in imaginative and exquisite ways that surprise and delight the palate. Even on a rainy day, this restaurant has the magical ability to bring sunshine to your plate—and trust me, living in Greece, I know a thing or two about warmth! This is a place I recommend wholeheartedly, perfect for lovers of Japanese cuisine and those seeking a one-of-a-kind culinary journey. An unforgettable experience you’ll want to revisit time...

What a gem this is! This is located 2min walk away from Rato metro station, so super easy to get to if you’re near any metro line. I am a massive sushi fan but I also like the option of not having to decide and trying a bit of everything so opted for the tasting menu for €50 thinking it was a set menu. After the 6th plate came, I actually discovered it was an all you can eat option and you had to tell them when you are full or they’ll keep bringing plates 😅. Despite my misunderstanding, it was a good opportunity to try lots of different options from the menu - Just a note that this is a ‘fusion’ type place, so a lot of the dishes are a twist on the traditional, but this didn’t take away from the meal. Everything that was served was incredible, super fresh and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place if you are into Japanese cuisine! (And well worth the price, regardless of whether you realise it’s an all you can eat or not 🤪)
