Amoreiras Garden / Marcelino Mesquita Garden — Attraction in Lisbon

This garden is a little gem, located close to Amoreiras shopping center and one step from Trattoria (a great Italian restaurant), limited by the physical presence of the Aqueduct, which in turn hosts a chapel under its big arches, on other extremity by the water reservoir and having as a neighbour the excellent small contemporary museum of Vieira da Silva and Arpad Szenes, if these are not enough reasons to spend and entire afternoon, then the cherry on top pf the cake it's the kiosk in the middle of the cozy garden which is a place of stop for a nice crowd that goes from the office workers looking for a break in the end of the day to the locals looking for a nice beer in the...

A lovely little meeting point at the heart of Lisbon, perfect for families. Kids can enjoy the park while parents relax with a book or a coffee at the esplanade. The garden’s historic charm is undeniable, especially with the stunning Reservatório da Mãe d’Água das Amoreiras nearby—great for admiring while sipping a drink from the café.

One small downside: the water fountain wasn’t functional during my visit (the drain seemed clogged, leaving the tap submerged in standing water). Not a dealbreaker, but it’d be nice to see it fixed for thirsty visitors.

Still, a pleasant spot—not flawless, but definitely worth a visit for a relaxed break...

Lovely, sparking clean Airbnb with charming decoration and artwork. Kitchen is small but well-appointed, with many thoughtful and useful items. Nice quiet street a few blocks from several bus & trolley stops, but not in the center of the tourist area. No grocery stores nearby. You'll probably want to stop at Pingo while you're out & about, then take an Uber back home. Don't expect fancy. You'll get charming and comfortable, and a very fast, responsive host who answers even stupid questions kindly and promptly.
