Lebanese Corner — Restaurant in Lisbon

i’m a huge fan of lebanese food, especially chicken-related. so, being acquainted with names like ‘boubouffe’ or ‘mano’ (in beirut), it’s always hard to find a match. but a match i found.

‘lebanese corner’’s shish taouk ((semi-silent K, folks)) is amazing, considering it’s ‘just’ chicken on a skewer, right? then, the hummus, with a great balance of the simple ingredients it needs; their fattoush. again, a ‘mere’ salad, but that pomegranate flavour and the fried bread bits on top... manoman... the falafel are very deceiving, but fear not: they look burned and too crunchy to sink your teeth into, and yet, soft as the paste you’ll find inside.

on the bread: yes, please, and also, enough, guys, you’re killing me. it’s just that hard ro resist.

the chicken shawarma sandwich has that hidden pickle to tantalise your palate, and when you order it as a separate dish: there’s something there in the spice mix... i want to say cinnamon, for there’s some sweetness to it, but i have no idea.

i wish i could have an opinion on other items, but i’m a boring customer who sticks to what he loves.

however, and funnily enough, what makes me want to really support ‘lebanese corner’ is the owner. mohamad is just the nicest guy, goes out of his way to please his patrons... i shouldn’t say this, but he sometimes throws in a complimentary thing or two. i have to find an alias, so he doesn’t think i go there for the freebies. :))

but he is a really sweet guy, so get to know him. as the rest of the team, i’m sure. but he’s my usual interface.

I am in Lisbon for a few months and being a foodie, exploring food joints is a new hobby. Unfortunately after so many fail attempts of getting good taste, I with the help of my dearie friend found an amazing Lebanese food joint called ‘Lebanese Corner’ in Rato ..

Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pocket friendly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With their delicious ‘lebenese menu’ they make sure that they provide you with the ‘best service’. In spite of Lisbon being the tourist place, I personally did not find people are so welcoming here..While facing good racism every second day, getting such a welcoming gesture by people is like having the meal at home 🙌🏻..

We tried

-Frango/ Chicken Shawarma menu -Mixed chicken & Falafel shawarma menu -Hummus+ Shawarma frango -Baklava

The taste with the perfect blend of hummus and variety of different types of dips and salads is delicious. Portion was stuffed enough to fill in the complete day’s hunger. -Chicken was properly cooked. It was not at all tasted like a frozen but fresh one.. -Falafel was properly fried (I often tasted the one which is not cooked well or overcooked ) -Every dip including hummus tasted fresh and delicious ♥️

Our stomach was stuffed but mind was still hungry for the Turkish dessert and we hogged on The specialty from Turkey - Baklava .. nevertheless, it was again tasty and we ended up eating 4-5 of them each..

Overall it was indeed a great experience and must...

I stopped here on a visit from America, top notch food and a great value. I visited in the evening, it was really busy with no available tables so we decided to takeaway. Before I even tasted our shawarma (we tried both chicken and beef separately) I knew I needed to leave a review to acknowledge the kindness I witnessed from this establishment.

They were hustling taking care of making sandwiches, platters, fries, etc for seated customers, takeaway customers, and food service couriers. As I stood patiently waiting for my takeaway to be ready, I observed one of the restaurant workers give a courier a falafel with hummus. The courier was totally surprised, big smile on his face as he stood there smelling the delicious food and waited for a customers order.

The restaurant worker (maybe the owner, but I’m not sure who owned this place) just said something in response like “for you!”. It was just a genuinely beautiful thing to witness because it’s so easy to forget that the courier must’ve been hungry himself as he worked the night biking meal orders to customers.

This is a fantastic business! Our sandwiches were fantastic and they have kind hearts! Best of luck and...
