Chão de Pedra — Restaurant in Lisbon

Absolutely lovely food! Environment and decoration of the restaurant are beautiful. As the name suggests, it's indeed with the floor made of stone! But in a beautiful way. Rustic and good on the eyes. Staff is super friendly. A friend of mine was feeling a bit sick, they tried everything they could, to help out. Offered to trade her plate for free, offered her fruit... Went out of their way to help her out in whatever way they could. Loved it! Price is nice, for 9.50 euros you can eat soup or dessert, main course and the drink is included. Don't ask for the white wine, it isn't good. But food made up for it. For the price that it is, I wouldn't expect such quality. And I loved their plating! Doesn't have much area to eat, so a reservation is advised! Doesn't have many options to eat for the 9.50 but you will surely not regret it. It has enough for all tastes. Except kids. Surely is a place to visit if you want to have...

Quiet, reclusive restaurant with alternative, original dishes.

Chão de pedra is a dark lighted, unconspicuous restaurant decorated and furnitured almost only with stone (it's name translates to stone-floor in english).

I found it dark and not very pleasing but it was quiet and offered a good venue for a group lunch with coworkers.

The food doesn't follow typical arrays of portuguese food and tries some wildcards like the top sirloin steak with sorted vegetables pictured below.

Fairly priced though it may be, the menu didn't particularly impress me and the experience was rather lukewarm.

The staff was assuredly kind and polite but the restaurant's gloomy, taciturn environment coupled with the lackluster food ofering rendered this venture a meager 3...

AVOID THIS PLACE, THE GOOD REVIEWS MUST BE FAKE

The food was disgusting. I got the tuna steak and my friend got the rabbit. My tuna was inedible. They served me spoiled fish. I couldn’t even take one bite I had to spit it out. When they asked why I didn’t eat it, I nicely explained that it tasted off and it was spoiled. They said it was fresh delivered that day and blamed me. Of course, they didn’t offer to fix it, comp it, or offer something else. And they acted like I was the problem or being rude for leaving food on my plate.

My friend said the rabbit was not good but she ate it. Even with the 50% fork discount this was not...
