Hamburger Na Chapa — Restaurant in Lisbon

I've been looking forward to seeing an American style "fried chicken sandwich" in Portugal for quite a few years (As in, not a KFC type place but one that has more elaborate recipes on lesser bigger franchises mainly in the southern region of the US) and this one hits the spot. While it prides itself more on smash burgers (hence the "hamburger na chapa" moniker), I've been going for the fried chicken, which is really good, at an approachable price, and it comes with easily some of the best fries you can have at such an eatery. A lil tub of garlic mayo is usually provided with your meal, in case you can't handle the heat, but its always a plus even if you are a hot...

We had a bacon burger and a classic cheeseburger. Both were very similar in taste to the ones in McDonald's, with the only exception of the patty. The patty was much better than McDonald's. The rest: the buns, the salad and even the sause in the burger were nearly identical. I would recommend other places if you're looking for a non-McDonald's experience. This is the best burger place I've tried in Lisbon, no joke. The food is excellent (and it's halal!), the place is nice and the service on point. The guys working here are friendly and kind.
