This is the worst cafe you can visit. I have been coming here everyday since it opened. Let me warn you, stay away for your own sake.

First day I asked for an espresso stayed a bit, the place was empty, the music was good and the barista was nice. I couldn't fathom what would happen next. Coffee stopped tasting the same in other places. But OK, this is a small adjustment, I can live with it.

Then you try the filter coffee and you're gone. No other V60 will feel quite the same and you're stuck coming in every day.

You're thinking "this is not too bad...", but it is.

The barista is too friendly, and a lot of people come here just because of the dude.

Fernando, the musician who makes terrariums. Linde, and Frankie the coolest red toy poodle. Carlos, the music teacher who builds bicycles. Ana, the lawyer with a big heart. Fábio, who has the secret identity of DJ Quesadilla.

And this isn't even half ! Barry and Niall both agree Lisbon is better than London just because of this place. Roman came all the way from the US and got hooked faster than you can say "One cold brew please, nitro." And let's not forget Tom, who comes in with the chillest and coolest vibe, and leaves with a smile and a takeaway cup.

Don't even get me started on the staff. Marie, barista, opera singer, awesome. Juan, chef, coffee connoisseur, and amazing. Manuel, barista and hobby hoarder, unafraid of breaking the comfort zone. I could also go on about Tiago and Maira, the owners, and little Sofia who will be serving espressos in no time. But you got the idea by now: those 3 give this place a heart and soul.

Everyone else?

I've seen people come in and the weirdest thing happens. They have an espresso, and before finishing it, ask for the wifi password. Not a minute goes by and they're cancelling flights and looking for a place to rent in the neighbourhood.

They then find out about Malabarista and Milkees and end up having to take turns going around!

So, for your sake, stay away. There's a Starbucks down the road in Rossio, go there. Or to any roadside pastry shop, ask for a bica, talk with your friends how it's a burnt, bitter espresso. Then you'll go back home tell your friends "yeah Lisbon was great but the coffee here is better".

You'll be happy living in the ignorant bliss of not having tried the best café in Lisbon. And I'll be happy if I don't have to wake up early to get a table...

How About Coffee? Caffeinating Your Lisbon Experience with Delicious Delights

In the heart of Lisbon, where the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans mingles with the city's vibrant energy, lies How About Coffee? - a café that lives up to its name and beyond. More than just a caffeine pit stop, this charming spot offers a delightful culinary experience that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the soul.

A Feast for the Senses:

Salmon Sensation: My personal highlight was the exquisite salmon bathed in a luscious hollandaise sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, its delicate flavor beautifully complemented by the creamy richness of the sauce. A true culinary masterpiece! Acai Allure: For the health-conscious adventurer, the acai granola promises a burst of flavor and energy. The vibrant blend of acai, topped with fresh fruit and crunchy granola, offered a refreshing and satisfying start to the day. Avomelicious Awakening: The "Avomelo", featuring creamy avocado, savory mushrooms, and perfectly fried eggs, was a symphony of textures and tastes. This dish is a must-try for avocado enthusiasts seeking a hearty and flavorful breakfast.

Beyond the Plate:

Charming Ambiance: Stepping into How About Coffee? is like stepping into a warm hug. The cozy atmosphere, with its exposed brick walls and inviting décor, creates a space that feels both modern and comforting. Coffee Connoisseur's Paradise: True to its name, the café boasts a diverse selection of coffee, expertly brewed to satisfy every palate. Whether you're a latte lover or an espresso aficionado, you're sure to find your perfect cup. Friendly Service: The staff at How About Coffee? are the icing on the cake. They are attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in.

In Conclusion:

How About Coffee? is more than just a café; it's an experience. From the delectable dishes to the inviting atmosphere and friendly service, this hidden gem offers a taste of Lisbon that will linger in your memory long after you leave. So, when you're exploring the city and need a caffeine fix or a delicious bite, do yourself a favor and ask, "How About Coffee?" You won't be...

I would call this cafe a hidden gem. If you pass by it while walking down the street it's quitw inconspicuous, but oncd you enter you realize there is a hidden garden and you can enjoy your coffee under the sun. Speaking about coffee - it ia great, I struggled to find a specialty coffee place in Lisbon for the short period I was there, but once I found out How About Coffee I knew where to go for a good cup. Don't miss out on the breakfast, my recommendations are the salmon sandwich with a poached egg, the toast with eggs, spinach, mushrooms and creme cheese and the yogurt with fruits. You won't regret it. The staff is polite, they speak English and are great at what they do....

Came here looking for a quick caffeine fix - ended up having one of the best toasts of my life!!! I stumbled across this little place on Google while looking for a coffee shop to get a pick-me-up. Ordered a cold brew which was fantastic! The couple besides us ordered a toast which looked phenomenal, so I couldn’t help but order one for myself. I had an avocado toast with salmon and a poached egg and it absolutely blew me away! The ingredients were so fresh yet so simple. Had I had the stomach for it, I would’ve ordered 3 more. If you are in the area, do not miss out on this place!!
