Some people are calling the place "mouldy" and the waiter "unpleasant", but I have to say that is not my experience at all. We were a party of four and one of my friends didn't want to drink because she was driving us home, and we had eaten a lot during dinner. I liked the vibe. It was very 70s and 80s like, very vintage, and it is themed as a Polynesian bar, which is pretty cool. The waiter was really nice. He waited patiently while we struggled to choose something from the menu and recommended drinks according to our taste. I was the only one to drink an alcoholic cocktail, and the alcohol was there, unlike many other comments. I really enjoyed my drink. It might be a little expensive (yes), but I recommend you share the drink with your mate as I struggled to drink it all by myself, because the cup was huge and then you can afford 4,25 each and have a wonderful experience. I am not aware of the name of my drink, I'll leave the photo below (the cup was a monk or a wizard), but it was very minty and fresh. The waiter gave me and my gal friends a flower after we paid, and we felt very comfortable during our visit. I would change the type of music to something that fits the theme of the bar, but I really loved the environment, and I'll be back when I...

I visited Bora-Bora in March 2023 on a trip to Portugal. I was reminded recently of how terrible the experience was and realized I never left a review. Just avoid this place, please. It's a dump and the bartender, whom other people have described in reviews here, is legitimately unsettling. My wife and I were there on a Sunday night and there was not a single other customer in the hour we were there. The place is very dark, grimy, dusty, filthy and drinks are way too expensive. My tiki glass was very obviously broken and glued back together at some point. If we're the only people there, they can't give us the unbroken tiki glasses?

We ordered something from the drinks menu and they were prepared in a matter of seconds, pre-prepared, totally generic drinks and weren't even what we ordered. Terrible. Also, there was seemingly no alcohol in them. Complimentary snacks were stale. I felt like we were being watched the whole time. Just an unsettling vibe to the place. Hard to explain the feeling in there (dumpster demon at back of the diner in Mulholland Dr. might be accurate.) Bora-Bora was our only bad experience in a 10 day trip...

What can I say about this "bar"... The place would actually look really nice if they would take just a little bit of care: it's dusty, old and in some places it looks like it is almost falling apart... at least in the basement. We also had to wait FOREVER to just get our orders in, and once we did, we had to wait half an eternity again, even though the place was almost deserted and void of people. The glasses that we got were dirty and you could see the fingerprints of the waiter on them. The cocktail I orderd, "Hawaiian Blue", tasted like it was watered-down pineapple juice... but maybe that's what they were going for with that specific "cocktail"? If you can even call it that.

I cannot recommend this place, safe your money and go somewhere else please! I'm sure there are actual nice bars in Lisbon. :) And if you decide to go, don't take the "Hawaiian Blue", or ask them to actually put something in besides water and...

O ambiente cheira a mofo. As bebidas chegaram.
