We booked 2 nights to stay in this hotel and I do not have any doubts to leave 5 stars review in my first night. The hotel has 11 floors and quite big.

If you look for a new modern hotel, you should not book this hotel. This is an old hotel but has many positive things as a consideration to book the hotel.

We are a couple traveling from Porto to Lisbon with a bus (stop in Oriente bus stop).

Pros: Entrance accessible for wheelchair.

The hotel can inform you where you can park your car if you travel with a car.

Location The location is very strategic. It is very close with metro station Alameda and bus stops. You can go to Lisbon city center and place nearby with metro or bus. If you travel without a car, I advise you to buy daily pass of Viva Go. It costs €6,45 for a day pass from the first time you pass your card. If you do not have the card, it will cost you more €0,50 and it is rechargeable. You can take metro and bus or tram freely for 24 hours. It is a very smart saving. If it is 1 time pass, it will cost you €1.50 per trip per person for the metro.

Room The room is simple but clean and tidy. We have a garden city view which is great. The bed is comfortable, the pillow is perfect (not so soft and hard), the tv is small but still useful, there is a small fridge, there is safety book, tea maker is free to use, the plug to charge, the lamps work perfectly. The bathroom is clean and has complete amenities (the clean towels, the soaps, the shampoo, the toilet paper, the hair dryer, the dustbins), the hot water is perfectly working.

Check-in The check-in went smoothly with the receptionist. We asked her if it was possible to get a room not to close to downstairs, and we got in the ninth floor. We need to sleep in the quieter environment. The receptionist is kind, nice, and helpful. She speaks English well. Check-in is only at 14:00 So, we leave our bags in the hotel while exploring the city.

Breakfast We got an offer from booking.com for a free breakfast in the hotel. And it is GREAT. The breakfast is excellent. They always refill things. We have bacons, cheese, fruit, and many others things.

Free wifi accessible inside the hotel.

The hotel has a bar and in a fair price.

The waiting area is clean and comfortable.

The hotel is close with supermarket and restaurant. We went to Nepal Curry Restaurant 3 times on our stay in this hotel for lunch and dinner, and it was a really great experience. The restaurant is so close from the hotel.

They accept payment by cash or Multibanco.

Wearing a mask is a must inside the hotel. No need to show Covid19 certificate.

Cons: The room is not sound proof. We can hear the noise from our neighborhood but it is not a big problem for us. We are still enjoying our night here and...

Receptionist said to me 'Get out'

I stay here now and today 16th August at 8:00 pm, I got insulted by receptionist. She has black curly long hair and has strong impression face.

My room lights doesn't work , so I asked to check, but even though one person came and check but it didn't work well. So I called receptionist to change the room. But she said it is not possible and hung off my calling! And when I went down ,she saw me and she suddenly pretended to call to someone (it was acting!) She said on the phone 'her rude behavior is not acceptable' She was saying to me thisbut she pretended to call someone else and she wanted to tell that I am rude' What rude??? Asking the room changed because the light is broke??? She told me 'I will call the police' I toldher 'please call the police, I need' but she never called the police. And she told me 'Get out' I can't believe how rude she is!! And she said 'you are not in the position to tell me' What position!!!??? I think she is crazy or racist. Surely one of them. I asked her name but she never told her name. She said she didn't do anything wrong. But if she is all correct, there is no reason not to tell her name. This proved she did wrong. I guess she got stress from the family or other guests and she attacked me!! But she should not pour her stress out on me!! This is not right. Her behavior is wrong. She should apologize on me but she just said to me 'Get out!' She should not work in...

Great stay in Lisbon! Location: Amazing! You can arrive and leave easily as the metro line that connects to the airport has a station exactly in front of the hotel. Not even necessary to cross the street, same sidewalk. Also this same station has another line connecting to downtown. Easy to come and go to the most turistic points, bars, nightclubs. Also there's bus 24h in front of the hotel to downtown. Surroundings: Great! The perfect balance between residential and commercial area. There's restaurants, super markets, it's in front of a beautiful park, kiosks to spend the afternoon, mall nearby, everything you'd need. View: Incredible! I stayed in one of the highests floors, so there was a beautiful view of the park, sunset and even at this distance the downtown area. If you gonna spend some time working from your room, I highly recommend that experience. Cleanness: Super clean! The room was everyday in perfect conditions and everytime I needed something "extra" it was just simply ask them and they would provide asap. Breakfast: Yummi! Lots of food, varieties, always fresh. Totally worth to include it. Staff: Super Friendly! They were always super polite and reassuring that we had everything we needed. Others: You feel special and unique due to the high level of attention they dedicate to you. At the bar they offer snacks when you order something to drink. Super comfortable! Recommend this stay for solo travelers, family...

The A S Hotel is as good as it gets for price location and five star service! The hotel is situated in central Lisbon and close proximity to Boutiques Bars and Restaurants! The staff Janice Rodrigo Gonsalvo and Bruna will welcome you with a smile and take care of your accommodation needs. Its a ten minute red line Metro ride from the airport and the Alameda stop is right in front of the hotel! Cleanliness is number one my list and they pass with flying colors! Each room is equipped with a massage chair! Now there is a hidden gem on the floor above the 11th floor which is a rooftop lounge that has spectacular views pf Lisbon. Bartender Sávio will greet you with a warm smile and mix any drink to your liking! He made me a Caipirinha that was reminiscent of what I had in Copacabana Rio de Janeiro! He also prepared me a Hamburger that was so gourmet! I just love hanging out on the rooftop because his professional demeanor will make you want to stay and keep coming back! Muito Obrigado Savio for such a memorable time! I highly and truly recommend this hotel and bar for all it has to offer

I stayed for 5 nights. I liked the beds, but it might have helped that I was exhausted every night. Overall it was okay, but the poor shower was a disappointment. All I want from a cheap hotel is a clean and quiet place to shower and sleep. Pros: +Great location. Subway right outside, 10 minutes from when you leave your room to you are in the heart of the city. +Good breakfast, especially the fresh pressed orange juice. +Quiet due to good double windows. +Low price Cons: -No power outlets near the bed, which is senseless in 2019. My friend had some that he could use if he moved the bedside tables and unplugged the lamp, but mine were not accessible at all, stuck behind a wooden board fixed to the wall. -Terrible shower. Took forever to get warm, poorly distributed pressure from the head. -The TV was a joke. It's like the episode of the office where Michael gets a flat screen TV.
