It would only have taken those four words to make me fall for this location. But when the waitress approached our bench on the outside and asked: „May I serve you?“, it already happened. Maybe it was some kind of prejudice, but in a positive way. After a adventure like walk through the park nearby we were excited to learn what it was about with the crafted and drafted beer here. The guys were nice and supportive all the way. Even short to the regular opening hours we were already asked if we would wait for some beer. So we picked our seats on this cosy bench an dwelled into this experience. It’s good to have a couple of choices about what beer you should try. On one hand. On the other hand it makes it hard as well to get to chose. For this the places is offering a special: if you’re ordering three different sorts at a time this is a trial-board and instead of paying 3,50 € for single orders each you will be charged with 7,50 € only for the three. Great opportunity! Thus we made it through some different tastes and for me in the end it was the milky stout which became my favorite. It combines the classical taste of dry malt with some milky freshness. The dip in between was also good. We went for nachos with guacamole and it was very tasteful. The dip was mor like a salad made of avocados, left some grosser pieces instead of blend it to a smooth paste. And mixed with some sweet cherry tomatoes it came great. Not to forget the place itself. Overpriced, the vegetarian sandwich was with too much olive oil, the attendance was very rude at the beginning, making us wait for more than 20 minutes just to get a table and the beer was just ok, not as good as I was expecting. The only good thing about there was the place that's very beautiful, but for the price, I believe it has better options.

Edit: If the attention they give when answering a comment was the same as I received there, I'm sure my visit would have been much better. It's true that we were at a "table" (just a bench) outside and what they called "explicit to go to the bar" is just a small note on the wall, the waiter saw us there and completely ignored us more than once. They say that on Saturdays they are usually full it's just an excuse because right after that a group of 6 people arrived, without reservations and they also said this at the beginning and then a table magically appeared when they were leaving. By the way, in my review I said expensive because when you pay 11 euros for a sandwich you at least expect it to be good...

I LOOOVE Quimera Bar, the Staff are Real People with Real Quirky characters, Hospitality and Luv.. The LandLady oozes Vibrancy, Enthusiasm and Warmth.. Paddy doesn't 'just serve' you, Paddy Welcomes you like an Open wood fire next to a sheepskin rug next to your favourite slippers.. Quimera is hands down my Favourite bar on the Planet.. You're not just a customer there, you're Family. It's like the sitcom CHEERS, 'WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME..AND THEY'RE ALWAYS GLAD YOU CAME'.. There are books on the shelves to read, board games to play and the music always 'hits the spot', moreso on nights when musicians play Live... Toilets are clean, food is Great and they sell homebrew beers. Quimera is like the waiting room before the pearly gates of Heaven.. Oh..I haven't even mentioned the INCREDIBLE Historical significance of this 'Secret tunnel to a Palace' from the 1700's that Quimera inhabits.....
