This eatery is such a gem! Located in quaint, quiet yet subtly very energetic part of town, Cantinho da Rosa is a must-visit restaurant/bar for Portuguese food, hospitality, and service. To be honest, I just google searched, "Portuguese food near me," and went with my gut, so to speak. My gut and I were well rewarded. This place is intimate, welcoming, warm, and has the most friendly service you will find; very personal to each customer and table. The food itself was fresh, beautifully flavorful, and left us feeling rejuvenated instead of weighted down. After some wondering around in the look for a Portuguese restaurant, and being refused in some other places we arrived at the door of Cantihno da Rosa and we were warmly welcomed. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. I had one of the best ever Tuna steaks covered with a delicious caramelized onion, to die for! We were at this very nice restaurant in 3 evenings out of our 7 days spent in Lisbon that's how much we liked it from the first evening. Our waiter, Pedro Oliver, was extremely friendly and had very good recommendations for us. (We still owe him some "pălinca" 😅) The stuff is very warm and makes a great cozy atmosphere in the local. I was so excited to finally visit Cantinho da Rosa, my friend João’s new restaurant this year in Lisbon, and it completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. Paulo took great care of us like we were family. The service is genuinely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and just made the whole evening feel special. It’s clear they care about every guest. And speaking of the food: everything was delicious, but you absolutely must save room for dessert. They are seriously amazing!
