Wow! The view of the city doesn’t disappoint but the flavors and variety of foods are the real stars here.
Service is great, attentive and professional. We first learned of Lost In as being listed as one of the top spots for dinner with a view. It was raining, almost dinner time and we were only steps away so we poked our heads inside and are we glad we did!
We stared with the Smoked Pork Golgappas appetizer, it was awesome! The combination of creamy sauces, mango jam, ginger, crispy shell with the light smokey pork is a flavor explosion.
My wife and I shared our main dish selection, “Chicken Breast with our curry”. This was the best curry either of us had ever had. We’re fans of all types of curry yet this one stood out with a touch of spice (red peppers) and sweet mango, shaved coconut and almond slivers. The chicken was cooked perfectly with its own hint of flavor as well. This dish is what brought us back a second day while visiting the city, no small feat given the hundreds of restaurants within walking distance of our apartment.
Later that evening we made reservations online for the next evening. We were seated on the patio which was nice. It was cool but they have infrared heaters and plush padded seating so comfort wasn’t an issue. The view was fantastic as the city lights blinked on slowly while the sun set. Their reputation for “best dinner with a view” is accurate.
Our second dinner included the smoked pork golgappas, the Pica Pau (sirloin, house pickles and sauces with plantain chips) the fabulous chicken curry dish (again) with the addition of the Veal Chacuti (both savory and sweet, unlike any veal dish we have eaten prior, amazing).
We were not disappointed. The service here is great but the food is so much better than we expected and an incredible value.

Read moreI’ve been to this restaurant with a couple of friends. We ordered some starters and mine was chicken wings. While we were waiting, a second waiter came to say that kitchen would close in 20 minutes and we should order the main course too so we did. Same second waiter came back two minutes later to double check everything we ordered and it was all correct. When the starters came they brought an unordered chicken sandwich and I said it wasn’t for us. A waiter named Hugo started shouting at me about three times in front of everyone that I DID ORDER THAT SANDWICH. Seriously, he shouted a few times insisting that I DID order. Me and my friends were shocked and when we tried to mention that the other waiter even double checked our order he just left us talking to ourselves. For the main I ordered a salad with no bacon (serious allergy). They brought my salad before the other main courses WITH bacon and no avocado and no cheese. I said it was wrong, it was only with no bacon. The same second waiter came back asking if we ordered any sandwich 🤷🏾♀️ and again we said no. They brought another salad with no avocado and no cheese again and I just ate that way. Service was really appalling: they did not take the starter plates nor empty glasses before bringing the main courses, I had to ask for cutleries for the main, no attention to any detail. Another waiter also called Hugo apologised for his colleague and he was the only friendly staff there (among the ones I’ve been served, can’t say about the others). I usually just spend my time doing 5 stars reviews but this time I really had to do it as I still cannot believe that there’s a place where a waiter shouts...
Read moreThe food was incredible. Highly recommend the Kataif shrimp and the samosas were not bad. The chicken breast with curry was phenomenal as well, compliments to the chef ONLY. I was incredibly disappointed by the service, however. Firstly, as soon as I entered, in an enthusiastic manner I said “oh this place is Indian” because there were idols and Sanskrit writing in the entrance. The host, who is also the manager Hugo, responded in the rudest manner, “no it’s fusion”. I asked him for a table for 2 and he said there’s only place outside and if it rains we will stop the service and then simply walked away. Secondly, the waitress assigned to our table, Joana, had the rudest tone. She could not even explain the different wines on the menu. Being a waitress knowing your menu inside out is the basic part of the job. When my mom asked for a suggestion for a dry wine she was stumbling on her words and said there is only one red wine by the glass, not even bothering to offer suggestions. Finally, one of the other waitresses dropped my moms felafel and didn’t manage to tell us when we will even get the next one or even apologize. You would think me and my family being Indian and in a restaurant with Indian music, paintings and idols, would be treated well considering we’re going to an Indian (oops sorry Indian fusion) restaurant but we were treated like third class citizens. My mom and I together have traveled to over 40 countries in our life and truly this has been top 5 worst restaurant services we...
