My partner and I stayed at Patio do Tijolo for 4 nights at the end of Feb. The hotel feels like a real sanctuary, tucked away between the streets as a little hideaway to hunker down in and relax. The hotel has nice clean lines but feels cosy too, with really hygge vibes. There's outdoor space and a roof terrace to take in the views of the city and the sunsets. For those wanting to work, there's plenty of areas to do so if the mood takes you there.

We stayed on the ground floor in one of the rooms with an outdoor terrace. On entry, the room had a really chilled vibe, lots of naturals and the amenities you would want. The bathroom was stunning and had complimentary hand wash, shampoo and body wash. The bed was huge and room had everything you would need. There's not loads of storage space for clothes or bags in the room, so if staying for a longer period you may need to rotate a bit out of a case. There's a safe, in room water bottle, yoga mat and hairdryer. The outdoor space was really nice and secluded but could have benefited from an outdoor table. The room was very quiet and we had good sleep.

The breakfast was great, but it's only a small room so there may be a 5 mins or so wait for a table. It's continental plus options for egg dishes, but the choice and quality is exceptional. You can also help yourself to leftovers from breakfast in the way of cakes, pastries, breads, and fruits, plus tea and coffee whenever you wanted as well.

The service was wonderful, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The WiFi was also very good.

The location is good and enables access to lots of areas, whilst being quiet and not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The vibe from some places on the Bairro Alto weren't for us, but there are good quality places within a 20 mins walk. You do have to walk the streets to access any public transport and the metro is about 10 mins walk up/down hill, so bear this in mind for accessibility. Plus, the pavements are very slippy in wet weather and this can be tricky to manage.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend...

My recent stay at Pátio de Tijolo left a lasting impression, showcasing excellence in every detail. The hotel's interior décor seamlessly blends modern elegance with a cozy charm, creating a welcoming ambiance throughout its beautifully designed spaces. Each room was not only impeccably clean but also tastefully furnished, providing a serene retreat during my visit. With only 24 rooms you will feel like you are at a small oasis during your stay.

What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment of arrival, their warmth and professionalism were evident. Every request was promptly and courteously handled, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay from start to finish.

One of the highlights of my stay was the delightful breakfast offered at Pátio de Tijolo. The morning spread was not only extensive but also of exceptional quality, featuring a variety of fresh and flavorful options that catered to every palate.

Location-wise, Pátio de Tijolo couldn't be better situated. It provided easy access to the city's attractions and transportation links, making it convenient to explore without any hassle.

In summary, my time at Pátio de Tijolo was truly memorable. From the beautiful décor and attentive staff to the delicious breakfast and excellent location, every aspect exceeded my expectations and contributed to a delightful stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Pátio de Tijolo to anyone seeking a luxurious and welcoming experience. I won’t stay anywhere else when I return to Lisbon!

Where to start, everything was so delightful.

The design and attention to detail is exquisite with beautiful shared spaces to enjoy as well as our spacious room which was meticulously cleaned daily. The mattress was extremely comfortable and the bedding was high quality. We stayed on the second floor where the views were fantastic from our balcony and the room was light and airy.

The shower is huge and powerful with lovely complimentary toiletries and the whole bathroom is spotless.

Breakfast is huge, delicious and varied with staff quietly preparing and adding to the fresh spread of fruit, cereals, cheese, meats, breads, pastries, eggs, coffee, herb teas... The 'kitchen' area is also available to help yourself to drinks and snacks throughout the day which adds to the generous, laid back vibe. You can also purchase alcoholic drinks.

The staff are all fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and you feel looked after without being fussed over, such a hard thing to achieve. Moreover everyone is always smiling! Great recommendations for local places to eat and visit and 24hr reception if there are any issues.

It feels like staying with friends in their huge, beautiful home. The only downside was having to leave! We are already planning a return trip.

Thank you to all at Patio do Tjolo for making our...

Loved our stay. Staff were lovely like everywhere else in the city. Of course it's a bit hilly like a lot of Lisbon but almost everywhere is a fairly short walk away yet it's pretty quiet. 20-minute taxi ride from the airport cost €35. The entrance is quite discreet - you have to ring the doorbell at first. Chose one of the three superior rooms which was a corner room with 2 windows (an additional massive window on the side) so the view's panoramic on the 2nd/top floor, with the city as well as the bridge over the water - can sit on the balcony and stay dry even in the rain. There's also a sofa not shown in the pictures. The room basically looks like the photos online but actually feels bigger and more homely in person. Comfortable king bed (2 put together). Glad we went with this option - worth the extra. Only one superior room with this amazing view I believe. Can also go to the rooftop terrace for the same view! Apart from the area for breakfast and the balcony, there's another cosy common area with a balcony on the same floor, plus an outdoor area on the ground floor. The hotel's a few months old only. The common areas are all nice with cute touches in that hip boutiquey way.

BEST HOTEL IN LISBON! You don’t have to go to a Miradouro to see the most incredible views of the city! You get it right on your balcony OR the rooftop if you don’t have a balcony. The gardens are so relaxing; this hotel is a quiet oasis away from the busy and loud city. Also it’s still in the city, beautiful Bairro Alto District! We walked everywhere but Ubers can easily get up here! The BEST FOOD! The best shopping and the most beautiful streets with magnificent tile work! There is a photo spot on every corner. THE BEST staff! You really feel this is a 5 star hotel. The rooms are spotless, the cleaning staff are so attentive and kind. Darrio and Anna were amazing at the front desk, so helpful! There were 3 other women at the front desk that were so nice but we forgot their names. It’s also great they have a bolted down safe in the rooms. Lovely breakfast and relaxing sun room areas.

Very nice boutique hotel. The entrance is a little confusing at first but you buzzer at the gate and they'll let you in, after that your hotel card gives you access. The staff is all very chill, they speak English, and give local recommendations, and are generally very helpful. The rooms are spacious and pleasant, the only thing missing is a mini fridge, but they did allow us to use the refrigerator in the communal space. The kitchen is always open with a filtered water dispenser, fresh squeezed juices, and pastries. The breakfast buffet is solid. There is a little library area, patio, and outdoor space that is for general use. The biggest downside was getting around from this location, mandatory walking up cobbled hills from whichever direction to get to the closest metro station about 15 minutes. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
