Lots of Indian/Pakistani/Nepali/Bangladeshi places in Lisbon are quite generic and indistinguishable (while still being good! - same with lots of Portuguese, and others) and I sometimes struggle to remember their name and location. The Darjeeling Express is clearly not one of them!
The menu, while not being extensive, offers options that are less than obvious, clearly with Christian (beef!) South Indian influences, and altogether delicious. The creative names and clear winks to Wes Anderson and other pop culture icons only make it an even more refreshing option within South Asian cuisine and we loved our meal, between beef, shrimp and lentil curries/stews. The small samosas were delicious (great truly spicy sauce to go with them!) as were the paratha (not very fluffy) and the bolo de bolacha for desert.
