I'm American, living in Lourinhã for 10 months, and today was my first time here. What a find for traditional Portuguese fare. We had delicious grilled fish of the day (I ordered the half size and it was huge) and octopus cooked with the exquisite local brandy (Lourinhã is one of three demarcated brandy regions in the world; the others being Cognac and Armagnac in France). Absolutely delicious!
I was shocked to see their well-stocked bar even had Bulleit bourbon whiskey -- something I haven't seen since leaving the United States last year. Their couvert tray included little tins of tasty sardine and tuna pates along with the standard bread, butter, and cheeses. We were too full to try the desserts, but will definitely be back.
