Second time I've eaten at this restaurant, and both times were just great experiences. The service is nice and friendly, and the food is really tasty. I had cod with onions the first time, and now whiting with tomato rice. Yummy... As quiet as it was the first time, it was packed the second time (30/12) with even a line outside. My only criticism to this restaurant is the lack of real vegetarian dishes. The fish was also limited, but that is seasonal. Anyway, I can definitely recommend Alengarve for an authentic...
Read moreHonest uncompromising place. It's a popular restaurant in the village with traditional Portuguese food (also regional). Can be crowded. I had the half portion of lamb stew. Delicious and more than enough to satisfy one self.. Maybe even for two persons. Plus a glass of wine and some starters. The food has a family taste to it... Big plus. The staff is friendly. The service was a bit slow... But I guess it had to do with the fact that they were the only restaurant open...
