This should have been a 5 star, but what happened at the end ruined the whole night out in Porto. At 6pm I booked a reservation on the Fork, then arrived at 7pm. Great looking restaurant, and the menu said the rodizio style dinner was 22.50 Euros instead of 45 Euros each. Seemed like a reasonable price at 22.50. I was looking forward to it because my girlfriend and her son (and his friend) are Brazilian, and since they've lived in Portugal for 3 years, they have missed Brazilian restaurants.
Excellent food and drinks, waiters were fantastic. I figured 90 Euros for the food and another 30-40 for drinks and extras. When I received the bill it was 180 for the food portion instead of 90. The total should have been 130 Euros, it was 220 Euros. I asked about the mistake and was informed because I made the reservation with the Fork, I don't get the price listed on the discount, and that I should have received an email with the confirmation stating discount not included. I found the email in my junk folder, and the tiny print was so small that I had to get someone else to read it. Extremely misleading, and completely in bad faith.
My girlfriend was so embarrassed and ashamed by the restaurant managers behavior because she felt it didn't represent her culture at all. I've never been to a restaurant where the price on the menu wasn't the price you pay, Had I known that I wouldn't have gone there. On the Fork app it listed the average meal price as 26 Euros. I will be complaining with the Fork to try and have them remove your listing, this was extremely misleading, and very embarrassing. I hope no one else...
Read moreThe food is good. It won't blow your mind, but it's good. You have 3 starter's if I am not mistaken and then 2 main types of meat: maminha and picanha. And one time they gave us alcatra beef. The service is very good. They were always giving us more rice, beans and fries which were also very good. The location in general is not the best. And the actual place is very very disappointing. It's basically inside an abandoned mini shopping center. The actual restaurant is also small. So, imo, this makes the experience more mid. Nonetheless, if you only want good food. For 25€ you can enjoy...
