Park to pay tribute to the sadly lost and once very important canning industry for the local community and for the country. But it's sad to see once again, that it's not a priority for the local authorities to have some decent trees everytime they build a new public green space....

A Praça Guilherme Pinto, assim designada por deliberação do executivo municipal de 12 de janeiro de 2017. Guilherme Pinto foi um autarca que presidiu à Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos entre 2008 e 2017. Foi desenhada pela arquiteta municipal Luísa Valente, a praça integra o «Memorial às conserveiras operárias e operários da indústria conserveira», um conjunto escultórico de grandes dimensões desenhado pelo escultor Ruy Anahory.
