Riverside Pub — Restaurant in Odemira

We were there 1 of october. Not many other guests that evening. We had salad with chicken and hamburger with fries. Salad as a whole and the amount of chicken in particular was tiny. Salad had no dressing. My wife had to ask for oil and vinegar. That obviously annoyed the waiter who raised his eyebrows arrogantly. My hamburger was tasteless. Fries were totally over-fried (dark brown and rock hard). Service in general was ignorant, rude and almost hostile. "Unattentive" would be understated. One of the waiters was constantly running around shouting and barking instead of talking normally, even though he didn't had much to do. 3 stars for "Ambiente" because of the nice porch. Went here for the first time on 20.04.2022 - will most definitely be returning. Quickly became my favourite place to stop for refreshments. Though we did not have the chance to try the food on this occasion, what we saw being served to others had us salivating. Loved being able to have an ice cold, strawberry and lime, Kopparberg AND such a gorgeous view. The owner and his staff were really friendly and take the time to talk to the customers (though this may not be possible in the height of summer when I expect they will be rushed off their feet - context people, context). I highly recommend the Riverside Pub in Vilanova de Milfontes for its excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Their hamburgers are particularly delicious and have become a favorite of mine. The staff's attentive and friendly service enhances the dining experience. The pub's location, offering a stunning view where the river meets the ocean, adds to its charm.
