Nice little Chinese restaurant on the waterfront near the Olhão municipal market. Recommended with the caveat that this is a Portuguese take on Chinese food (as others noted).
We ate lunch at the restaurant and had a couple of their Prato do Dia (plate of the day) specials - currently 7 euros per plate.
I had the fried noodles with shrimp and my wife had the sweet & sour chicken. Both were very tasty and the portions were large enough to have some leftover for takeaway. The entrées were served with egg rolls (though these were more flat and broad than round). The egg rolls were good (crispy outside with tasty filling).
With beverages and take away containers we ate for a little over 20 euros (but you could stay under 20 euros on a budget and a larger appetite.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with our minimal Portuguese and helped us in English where needed.

Good menu if you are Caucasian people who’s like junk food and don't know real Chinese dishes. The waiter (Indian guy) is particularly arrogant and rude. If you like to be touched with a game of seduction; he is probably available. More seriously, I suspect he is not normal ; while on parallel World (drugs or otherwise).
We ask to be served by the Portuguese waitress because the service is rough and very unusual. He doesn't understand the situation and he thinks I'm jealous (really, he's offset and he don't understand I'm with my friend and we are not a gay couple!). We refuse to order dessert from him and only from his colleague. We don’t take the coffee… to huge!
Without access to napkin, you have to clean your hands and mouth with the tablecloth on the table. At this point we have a limit to arrogance and poor service.
We won't going back... but only if we want to let ourselves be gently caressed by the Indian waiter ; better to run away! The Chinese restaurants in Quarteira are better and more original in terms of taste!

Bon menu si vous êtes des caucasciens qui aiment la malbouffe et qui ne connaissent pas les vrais plats chinois. Le serveur (type indien) est particulièrement arrogant et impoli. Si vous aimez être touché avec un jeu de séduction ; il est disponible. Plus sérieusement, je soupçonne qu'il n'est pas normal pendant le service (drogue ou autre).
Nous demandons à être servis par la serveuse portugaise car le service est rude et très inhabituel. Il ne comprend pas la situation et pense que je suis jaloux (vraiment, il est particulier car il pense que nous sommes un couple gay alors que nous sommes deux amis). Nous refusons de lui commander le dessert et uniquement à sa collègue. Finallement, nous n’avons pas prit le café ; nous avons une limite.
Sans serviette, on doit se nettoyer les mains et la bouche avec la nape sur la table. A ce moment, nous avons une limite à l'arrogance et au mauvais service.
On n'y retournera pas… mais seulement si l'on veut se laisser caresser par le serveur ; mieux vaut s'enfuir ! Les restaurants chinois à Quarteira sont meilleurs et plus originaux en matière de saveurs...

Ich hatte Wan Tan frittiert, chinesischen gemischten Salat und Schweinefleisch süßsauer. Die Wan Tans waren lecker, sie besaßen eine ordentliche Menge Füllung und wurden offenbar zumindest frisch fittiert. Leider konnte die dazu gereichte süßsaure Sauce da überhaupt nicht mithalten. Ihr fehlte es an allem, sie war weder richtig süß, noch sauer und besaß auch zu wenig Salz. Vor allem aber fehlte ihr ein Eigengeschmack, da war weder Ingwer noch Zitronenschalen oder sonst etwas erschmeckbares. Sie war so geschmacklos, daß ich sie für eine verdünnte Fertigsauce gehalten habe. Schade, dabei könnte man gerade bei dieser Sauce mit wenig Aufwand ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight machen und beim Gast damit punkten, zum Beispiel durch Ingwer, Zwiebeln, Knoblauch und kleinen Zitronenschalenstückchen. Die Sojasauce auf dem Tisch war nicht verdünnt und half, die süßsaure Sauce ein klein wenig zu verbessern. An dem chinesischen gemischten Salat war nicht viel chinesisch, nur ein paar einzelne Sojabohnensprossen. Das Dressing war wie beim Chinesen üblich, auch mit reichlich Zucker versehen. Da ich das erwartet habe, bestellte ich diesen Salat. Was ich aber nicht erwartet hatte war, daß ich bei dem Salat das Knirschen von Zuckerkörnern auf den Zähnen spüren mußte. Er wurde offenbar nachträglich darüber gestreut. Korrekterweise wird ein Salatdressing zuerst gemacht, dann der Salat hinzu gefügt oder das fertige Dressing über den Salat gegeben. Bei den Haupgerichten fing ich wie immer in mir neuen Restaurants mit Schweinefleisch süßsauer an. Das nutze ich immer als Vergleichsgericht zu früheren Restaurants. Normalerweise ist die süßsaure Sauce hier immer etwas raffinierter als die, die zu Wan Tans gereicht wird. Hier leider zum zweiten Mal nicht. Die übrigen Zutaten Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Karotten waren frisch. Daß allerdings die Zwiebeln nur so kurz angebraten wurden, daß sie noch nahezu ihre volle Schärfe behielten und man danach eine starke Zwiebelfahne hatte, spricht für eine zu kurze Garzeit. Hier wurde auf Kosten des Geschmacks Zeit gespart. Und daß bei diesem Gericht keine Ananas dabei waren, ist auch ein schweres Manko. Insgesamt kann ich keine Empfehlung für das Essen aussprechen.
