O Mirante Guest House — Hotel in Olhão

We arrived quite late and couldn’t find the guesthouse at first because Google Maps showed it a few houses away – but that’s already fixed now. Andreia was incredibly kind, waited for us, and explained everything patiently.

The guesthouse is a beautiful traditional Portuguese house with a modern touch, located right in the heart of the old town. Everything was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and placed together (no gap in the middle), and there was a fan, a hairdryer, and windows with lots of natural light.

The rooftop terrace is lovely, and free coffee and tea are available. There are also plenty of parking spaces nearby, which are free on Sundays. We only stayed one night but would happily come back again. Highly...

Had a fantastic overnight stay at O Mirante. Simply decorated with beautiful original features and dramatic high ceilings. Great central location and amazing views from the roof terrace over Olhao. Check in was earlier than expected and clearly explained by message from the owner. Great place to have a wee night away and even though we live in Estoi we still very much enjoy a trip to Olhao. Lovely guest house, 5 minute walk from market and main street. Nice big comfortable bed, large bathroom, free tea and coffee. Good reception, the owner messaged me just after i had landed at Faro and again when i arrived in Olhao, and was waiting at the door for me. The only thing that could make it better for me would be a heater in the room as it was November and getting a little chilly at night but other than that it was perfect. Will stay again,...
