Dined here twice, Sat and Sun eve during our two nights stay in Olhao

Very nice place, original interior design, front part of the restaurant has smaller tables and quiter. Reservation is mandatory, at least for the weekend’s evening. We did not have a reservation on sat night, our first dinner there, and we got a table on the patio. The evening was a bit chilly, about 15c, but they had heaters and brought us blankets, so we were very comfortable. Food is amazing, and our waiter, Bruno, spoke English fluently and was very entertaining. All the staff is very polite and helpful, we enjoyed our dinner so much that we booked the dinner for the next evening as well. They have a variety of fish and meat dishes, we took fish of the day, which Bruno filleted for us at the table. Appetizers and covert were very tasty as well, on the first day we took shrimps and warm goat cheese. Second day we took pumpkin soup, which was delicious and chorizo, also very good. The deserts are all tasty and good looking as well, first day we took lemon meringue desert, which they torched at the table. I recently dined at Restaurant Cestaria in Olhão, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

The food was simply amazing. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavour and presented with an artistic touch. The culinary expertise on display here is truly commendable. From the first bite to the last, I was enthralled by the harmonious blend of ingredients and the impeccable execution.

What truly sets Cestaria apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff’s attentiveness and genuine care for their guests made me feel like a VIP. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal.

First of all, it is the best food I have tasted in the Algarve, we were four people and all of us ordered very different dishes from one another and yet we were all in absolute awe from how good the food was.

One big issue was service, the employees were all very nice and had the best of intentions, but it’s very clear that none of them are trained in this kind of service, we were often forgotten, it was often very difficult to get the waiters attention, not from lack of caring, but it seems to be more from lack of training, I had to remind them twice about the entrance dishes not arriving, second time I had to stand up because I couldn’t get their attention.

Regarding prices, it’s not a cheap restaurant, but for the quality of food I felt that the prices were more than fair.

I honestly believe that with a big improvement in the service this restaurant could be a Michelin star...
