Great example how a very bad service can ruin a very nice breakfast place with delicious food.

We used to like this place a lot as the food is very good and the prices are fair. Based on our experiences, we drove there a bit later than usual (~1pm) as we wanted to avoid the waiting time. When we arrived at 2pm (we drove all the way from Vilamoura!), we recognized empty tables inside & outside. We were waiting at the door to get the attention of the waiter, he looked at us and welcomed us with a “stop hand” and a head shake, before telling us that they don’t have capacity for us?!?! I counted 5 tables, 4 of them must have had their brunch already, one was served just when we walked in. He said that they are fully booked, when I turned around and pointed on the empty tables, explaining that we drove all the way from Vilamoura to Olhão. I ask him politely how this could be possible, when he then looked back to the kitchen, coming up with the excuse “we have so many things to do”. Facts: they still had one hour (!) of service, it was not busy at all, all the tables were served, there were at least 4 empty tables available. This is absolutely not okay and far away from a costumer friendly and welcoming service!!

We are very disappointed and won’t come back again. Sad, as we used to spread the word how great...

Found almost by accident - a small modern cafe hidden in the back streets of Olhao. A far cry from the traditional fish restaurants elsewhere in the town. Been here several times for breakfast and lunch. Good food, lots of healthy options, even craft beer. Often busy; service can be slow but is always friendly. Sit outside if you can, the metal chairs inside are very uncomfortable Update Feb '23. The chairs have been replaced. Menu unchanged, food good and inexpensive. Service very slow. Update Sep '23. Staff appear to have changed and for the worse. This morning our breakfast tasted strongly of vinegar (used instead of soy sauce perhaps?) To add insult to injury the (new?) waiter proceeded to charge me double the menu price for poached eggs. Feb '24. More new staff, good service and food today. Still can't make an Americano...

was super excited to see this place. seemed like they could used several more people serving the tables. people waiting for tables while people were sitting with empty plates, waiting for their checks... finally got a table and took around 30 minutes to receive the menu. luckily I went online and picked my food prior, so when the menus were handed, I ordered. only brought the drinks like 20 mins later when the food was arriving. we were dying of thirst and hunger with 2 small kids. the food was pretty basic and bland unfortunately. I'd go back if there wasn't a wait ... but it wasn't...
