I just enjoyed one of the loveliest dinners here with my wife and sister in law that I've had in years. Now it's hard to see bad service or food in Portugal, there is a joy of life here, especially away from their larger cities which is enviable in the best way. But getting back to the review, their owner, Angelo, is a superb host.

First, my wife was eager to try their duck, but they were out of breast meat so they offered thighs instead. Personally I prefer thigh meat on any bird, and she was ok with this, but somehow he decided he would get her breast meat and ran to go pick some up at the local market. I mean, who does that, right? Super special. My sister inlaw had the cod and I had a pork tenderloin Wellington style. Let me just say there was nothing left on any of our plates. To start we shared some beautiful langostines with garlic, bread, and a complimentary dish of olives, cheese, and parma style ham. All of it went down with a wonderful Portuguese "Vino Verde" (Alvarinho), and a great espresso to wrap it up. They deserve your business, and I wish them continued success. And that our waitress was Ukranian, was awesome. Sweet, joyful, attentive. God willing they will all have their country back soon. Thank you for a wonderful...

Absolutely love this restaurant. I've been coming to Fátima for years now and would always try different restaurants, but ever since I found this one, it's become my first choice for lunch or dinner. The service is impeccable, both the waiters and the chef offer great recommendations on what to order and are always very kind and helpful. When it comes to food you really can't go wrong. I always order the cheese mixed platter that comes with their homemade bread and pumpkin jam which is personally one of my favourite things in this restaurant. It just pairs perfectly with the cheese. For the main course and dessert, I always try something different and have never been disappointed. If you're looking for something that will showcase typical portuguese flavours in a more unconventional contemporary way, this is the place to go, you won't regret it. Definitely recommend, and the prices are fantastic for the quality of food you get, specially compared to all the tourist traps that are all...

Don't be put off by the unprepossessing entrance. Downstairs is some of the best cooking in Fatima, and the most solicitous service. There's not a huge choice of dishes- three meat (duck, steak and pork) and three fish (octopus, cod etc) - but there doesn't need to be more when the food is treated with as much care as this. The starters are exemplary in their freshness and presentation. It's not cordon bleu, but then nor are the prices. It can get busy as there are only about a dozen tables (and the dining room is windowless) so worth reserving, especially when there are lots of pilgrims about. You'll be...

We arrived early for dinner and lucky to have them open since a late lunch group just left. Angelo welcomed us in and explained all the delicious items on the menu (it was hard to decide since everything sounded and looked so good). I decided on the fabulous pork wellington and my wife had a huge piece of tender fresh cod. Appetizer tray with olives, prosciutto, cheese and a homemade pumpkin jam that I will remember for a long time (it was the BEST!!!). Even had a bottle of semi-sweet champagne, which was perfect for my wife and a beer for me. If in Fatima, find this place and you will be glad you went!

One of the best meals we’ve had in a few years. Came here based on the high ratings on Google and it did not disappoint. One of the owners was serving us and he recommended a wine that went well with everything we ordered. Started with the cheese, excellent. Had the salmon and tuna for main dishes, both were fantastic. Finished off with quindim - if you like this kind of dessert, you’ll be very happy. I’m only sad that this place is not closer to Lisbon. We’ll definitely stop by anytime we’re driving within 100 km of this place.

Fabulous meal at this unassuming restaurant in one of the most peaceful villages in the world. (It was not around the 13th or the month) Attentive and courteous service. A nice selection of Portuguese wines. Fresh ingredients expertly prepared and presented. After our meal the chef came out and enquired if we enjoyed ourselves and also ask if we had any advice for improvements. It felt genuine and sincere. If you are fortunate enough to visit Fatima make time for this gem.
