The Museum is a must see while you are here! We loved the video that told the story of Our Lady of Fatima and the 3 shepherd children. Then to see all of the amazing artifacts was incredible! We especially loved seeing the original crown with the bullet that was pulled from Pope St. John Paul II after the assassination attempt on his life. There were things from all over the world that had been donated, several from JPII himself. There were relics, beautiful monstrances, crucifixes, rosaries, chalices and more! The entire tour wasn't too long either, it left plenty of time to still observe other things. They also made sure to give you a tour in your specific language, which was so helpful! I'm not sure if the video is offered in other languages though, but there was subtitles that i would guess could be changed depending on what language you speak! We loved our tour and the lovely sister who was our guide. Worth it for sure!

Visiting the Museum of the Sanctuary of Fátima is like stepping into a fascinating blend of history, spirituality, and art. Nestled within the sprawling Sanctuary complex in Fátima, Portugal, the museum offers a deep dive into one of the most captivating religious stories of the 20th century. During our visit, we were guided through the museum with an informative walkthrough, which provided a comprehensive understanding of the history and significance of Fátima. The knowledgeable guides enriched our experience by offering detailed explanations of the exhibits and sharing insights into the events of 1917 and their impact on the Catholic faith. The museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in exploring the rich history of Fátima. It not only offers a chance to learn about the past but also provides a space for reflection and contemplation, making it an essential stop for both pilgrims and tourists alike.

We were given a tour in English by the lovely sister Giacinta. What a marvelous experience we had in this museum! Amongst the very many beautiful things to see the 3 highlights for me were the monstrance donated by the Polish community with fragments of meteorites and a fragment of the moon, to signify that Christ is the king of Heaven and Earth; the crown of Mary with the bullet from the attempted assassination of John Paul II and the rosary made out of fragments of the Berlin Wall ("pray for peace..."). This was our very first stop in Fatima, and Sr Giacinta was able to really set the mood for our little family trip/pilgrimage, helping us to really enter into this marvelous place which is Fatima. Perhaps the thing that really touched my heart is how everything in Fatima, and this museum is no exception, is done out of a desire to serve and evangelize, and not to just make money!

The Museum of Our Lady of Fátima, located at the Sanctuary of Fátima in Portugal, serves as a spiritual and historical center dedicated to the Marian apparitions reported by three shepherd children in 1917. This museum showcases a rich collection of religious artifacts, photographs, and personal items connected to the events of Fátima, including the lives of the visionaries—Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. Visitors can explore exhibits that narrate the story of the apparitions, the messages conveyed by the Virgin Mary, and their profound global impact on Catholic devotion. The museum also highlights the role of Fátima in 20th-century Church history, especially its connection to world events such as World War II and the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II, which he believed was foretold in the Third Secret of Fátima. The museum thus offers both a devotional and educational experience, drawing pilgrims and history...
