Royal Indian cuisine — Restaurant in Peso da Régua

I have lived in New York City and Los Angeles which have some of the most diverse cuisine in the world and I have enjoyed many good Indian restaurants… so when I say that this place is on par with the same quality, I am not lying!

I got the lamb jalfrezzi and peshwari nann which together make the perfect blend of sweet and spicy! I always hesitate getting lamb as it’s very easy to overcook, but it was perfect!!

15 out of 10… incredible. I’ve lived all around the world, from the United States to Europe to Southeast Asia, and this is hands down some of the best Indian food I have EVER eaten. Every single thing I ordered, from the paneer pakora to the butter chicken to the samosas, was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We were on the Duero River in Portugal looking for food and came across this Indian restaurant. Honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect but the food was fantastic. Everything was freshly made and tasted great. The staff was super friendly, made sure we had everything, and even suggested places to visit nearby.
