So, you step into a new town, a new place and you do a Goggle search and take your chances. We landed, did that and won.
We stepped up the large steps to the restaurant and got served immediately and within a few minutes were having a “human being” chat with the front of house guy, Raffael. We quickly worked out what wine we liked and he found similar lovely specimens for us to taste. Happy days,

A really special place. We had lunch, took a recommendation for a vineyard tour based on wine we had in Porto and booked my birthday dinner for the following night and we weren’t disappointed.
The following night we still hadn’t leant that the portions were for giants, but I didn’t complain. Raffael, looked after us and struck that difficult balance between being attentive and being too much.
We had a table that looked over rage Rivera had far too much food, fantastic wine and ultimately were really looked after, an unreserved recommendations to visit from me.
Raffael, also treated us to a special glass of port…lovely touch.

And they had the QR code to see the menu which was good we thought, as we had to be at the train station at 15:00. However, while the table next to us sat down later, they were served earlier, got menus, wine etc. Even though I asked whether we could order, 20 minutes after we sat down no one came to take our order. There were three staff members walking around with food and wine. Just not for us. Very disappointing especially as we were pressed for time, and it just felt like they were ignoring us. Friendly, lighthearted and helpful staff.
Good, if not perfect food (a touch too much olive oil on everything).
Sadly, we were looking forward to try the skewered fish, but it wasn't available which is only an endorsement of the freshness enforced on the dishes.
As for desserts, the options all sounded delicious. We ended up choosing pineapple slice with 3 "secret ingredients" that the waiter made a game out of of encouraging us to guess what they were.
