2B — Restaurant in Ponta Delgada

We ate here for lunch when we just landed in Ponta Delgada (May,2022). I am still doubt if I need to give 1 or 2 stars for this restaurant. Our experience was not really pleasant. Do not get attract by the cheap price.

Cons: We ordered two menu, both were not good. The bife regional was much salty and a bit hard. The fish was salty too and the sauce made the taste even strange. The boiled potatoes were cold, we complained and they served us new potatoes.

Pros: The price is cheap. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dine-in and take-away, no delivery order. They accept payment in cash or card. The location is strategic near the city center. Free WiFi accessible inside the restaurant. Free restroom. There is table service. The staff is quite nice...

I have mixed feeling. It looks nice tidy and fresh but service was poor. Dont know english we were served from someone who dont even worked there. Food was average for me. Was excited i will have nice octopus and in fact it wasn’t bad but as side came with potatoes and was like 3 of them. You have nice oily sauce around and have nothing to eat it with. Nice small roll as side or more potatoes would be nice. They have local beer thats nice and also came with fresh vegetable salad. The fact i found fly in my sauce say about how fresh ingredients are. Good adorable food, came here with modest expectations. Honestly just wanted coffee and beer with some eats. Service was pretty good, food was alright but I would eat here again. Seems like a solid local joint, if you want fancy fancy food maybe else where would be better but this place hit the...
