Momentos Cozinha d'Autor — Restaurant in Ponta Delgada

We originally were about to dine elsewhere but they were fully booked and the host brought us over to Momentos. What a wonderful dining experience we had. The host, Hernani welcomed us and patiently explained the dishes and gave us recommendations based on our dietary requests. Our server, Prakash was attentive and ensured we had a perfect dining experience. We ordered: -the highly recommended Tuna & Swordfish both of which were accompanied w delicious veges, sweet potato and inhame. The veges surprisingly brought back nostalgic memories of one of our diner’s moms cooking. Needless to say,he was thrilled. As for the fish, they were both tender & moist with simple flavors. The inhame ( a yam that taste similar to taro) piqued our curiosity and Prakash offered to pull one out of the kitchen for us to see. He returned with a picture instead, they’re huge! -Supremo de Pato Agridoce Bittersweet Duck Supreme was tender, sweet & delicious. The yellow fluffy safron rice topped w mint added such beautiful colors to the plate. Surprisingly pretty and pleasant restaurant on the harbour of Ponta Delgada. Elegant, clean environment. Exclusive, very pleasant waiter service. You and partner will feel really special. Best place for dining out in Ponta Delgada or any randevu. Our portions of the special menu were far too big and we got really full with perfect tastes. We tried 3 beef dishes - lombo de novilho, steak açor, and espetada - unfortunately all were untasty. While the presentation was outstanding. Seems like meat was long marinated and lost its taste. And also had a very strange aftertaste. Fresh meat has a different taste for sure. The waiter said it’s specifics of Argentinian and Brazilian meat they are selling… we were disappointed and nervous about further digestion. We left more than half on the plates. Don’t come here...
