O Confrade — Restaurant in Ponte de Lima

I truly can't understand how someone could serve the meat ( posta) with so much fiber I couldn't cut it even if I had a light saber. The taste was brave, in the worse sense of the word. I asked for something else to avoid eating such a terrible quality meat, and then the prepared me a pork fillet more dry than Atacama desert. Could have been plastic.

The place is beautiful and the service is attentive and good enough, and I reserved there because it has a 4,3 score in the reviews, so maybe it was just a one time thing. Still, I swear I haven't eat...

Just perfect. That's it! Starting with the welcoming, where we got seats at the best table in the restaurant (just check the pics and you'll see why!). 🫶🏼 The food was amazing, the Rojões were well seasoned and tender, and the Arroz de Sarrabulho was... classic perfection. The wine list was really good, and we ordered a local Vinho Verde, which was the ideal combination to our meal. The service was very professional, attentive and friendly. Have I mentioned the view?! Dirigimo-nos a este restaurante com a expectativa de saborear um bom e típico sarrabulho, daqueles que aquecem a alma e honram a tradição. Infelizmente, o que nos foi servido ficou muito aquém do esperado — e até mesmo do aceitável. A carne chegou à mesa cozida, sem o tempero e textura que caracterizam um verdadeiro sarrabulho. As tripas tinham um sabor desagradável, de má preparação, e as castanhas piladas (algumas visivelmente podres) causaram ainda mais perplexidade — desde quando se serve castanhas com sarrabulho? O prato parecia feito para quem não conhece o original, uma versão simplificada e adulterada, talvez pensada para turista desavisado. Para quem cresceu a saborear o verdadeiro sarrabulho minhoto, esta experiência foi, infelizmente, uma verdadeira decepção. Esperávamos autenticidade e respeito pela tradição.
