I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback that I hope will be received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended.
Your bar truly has one of the most stunning and unique locations I’ve come across. The setting alone has the potential to create an unforgettable atmosphere and to stand out far above the standard offerings in the area. Unfortunately, it seems that instead of embracing this opportunity to establish a more exclusive, tasteful identity, the concept often falls into the same patterns as many other venues nearby.
Rather than creating a dreamlike ambiance with thoughtfully curated music at a pleasant volume—allowing guests to unwind and truly enjoy the space, it’s often the case that loud, inappropriate bands are booked whose style does not match the location or desired experience. Worse still, there is a tendency to copy larger events in a way that suggests a lack of originality, style, and class.
In many other countries, especially in places that value hospitality and presentation, more attention is paid to ensuring that a venue with such a breathtaking setting lives up to its visual promise, not through imitation or overpowering live acts, but through carefully designed ambiance, elegance, and quality.
It’s disappointing to see that this potential is not being realized. I truly hope you will consider a shift in direction, towards something more refined, atmospheric, and unique. You have something very special in your hands, and with just a few changes, it could become a truly exceptional...
Read moreWas a regular visitor to Cloque, I visit Portugal very frequently, and this was always a favourite pit stop on our walk from Vau to Rocha.
However, I returned in August this year, and It has been separated into two separate areas. Staff were quite abrupt when I asked if we could sit over looking the cliffs with a drink and said only if we are eating, we were sent over to the drinking/snacks tables which don't really offer the same view as you would get closer to the cliff. I asked for an ice cream for my little girl only to be told that because she hasn't had a meal they are only served as a set desert when ordering food. It's absolutely ridiculous.
If you don't want to eat, they don't seem interested, but in 34 degrees heat at 1pm, I don't see why they would expect people to want to eat. When paying for my bill, I walked into the restaurant area and was abruptly told I have to go to the other area to pay for drinks (it's the same business). I won't be returning with the new set up of two separate areas. It has ruined which was once a good...

We came here for brunch at 10.30am and were given the breakfast menu. The staff should let people know that the menu switches to the brunch menu at 11am, we had no idea. We went ahead and ordered breakfast items. The food was good, the service chaotic and so slow - kept forgetting items. The young staff were trying though.
It's also one of those places that doesn't offer any flexibility on the menu - they didn't let us switch the bacon with halloumi and they didn't let us order a side of scrambled eggs, they only let you order a side of fried egg or poached egg (one of the dishes comes with scrambled eggs so they definitely know how to make them).
I also came here another time for a sunset drink and the DJ music was great. Really special location and the prices reflect that which I think is fair enough but they need to improve...
