Bolacharia Le French Cookie — Restaurant in Portimão

Finally some proper cookies! Super fresh, baked daily, and when they're out, they're out so get there early to try all the choices! I really needed this place.

Not the absolute best cookies I've ever had, but they are certainly the best I have had so far in Europe. (I'm spoiled by a certain shop in Toronto, sorry.)

Soft on the inside, nice crunch outside, perfect melty chocolate, and good flavours. Even the simple-sounding ones (like chocolate chip and sea salt) are perfectly balanced. Cool sounding drinks and looking forward to ice-cream cookie sandwiches. Owner is super fun too and we are lucky to have this shop in Portimão.

Me and my British friend (neither of us speaks any Portuguese past 'Ola') went here for a sweet treat but got what only can be described as a lesson in customer service. The man serving us (apologies cannot remember his name) was incredibly welcoming and impressively knowledgable about his produce. To demonstrate the extent to which he was willing to help us, he even rang his partner to ask for the best directions to the train station for us to get the train the next day. Do not order from here … EVER…..on multiple occasions both myself and my husband have ordered from Le French Cookie and Every single time they have canceled our order last minute for no given reason at all. Payment taken and reverted after lots of waiting, not worth it, apparently they claim they’re on Uber eats but never deliver and cancel every time.
