While trying to pick a spot for dinner out of an overwhelming number of choices, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who offered information about the menu. We continued walking around but made our way back and are glad we did! Not only was the food fresh and fantastic, but the owner offered many recommendations for things to do during our visit.
At his suggestion, I had the golden bream, which was excellent. Deliciously crispy on top and moist & tender underneath. The potatoes and light salad were the perfect accompaniment. My husband had the mixed kebab and added shrimp, all of which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. We shared a pitcher of white sangria that was also great!

Pedi um bife na pedra (23€), prato que, por tradição, deve ser finalizado pelo cliente à mesa. No entanto, o funcionário que parecia ser o gerente mostrou pouco interesse e insistiu duas vezes que o bife fosse feito na cozinha, contrariando a nossa vontade e anulando completamente a essência do prato. Mesmo quando pedimos para aquecer a pedra, voltou a insistir em fazê-lo na cozinha, demonstrando desinteresse e falta de respeito pela decisão do cliente. Além disso, o acompanhamento era escasso: muito poucas batatas, obrigando-nos a pedir mais à parte.
No restante, a minha família também ficou dececionada: • O bacalhau à Brás era feito com paloco e não com bacalhau, o que é inadmissível num restaurante português. • O polvo à lagareiro veio com uma perna a menos e outra partida, dando um aspeto pouco cuidado ao prato. • O arroz de lingueirão mais parecia arroz de mini-lingueirão, uma clara desilusão em termos de qualidade e quantidade.
Para agravar, o restaurante não aceita cartão refeição e não tem qualquer indicação visível dessa restrição, o que deveria ser obrigatório.
No final, a conta chegou aos 110€, valor demasiado elevado para a qualidade, o serviço e a experiência oferecida.
Em suma, o Kibom revelou-se um restaurante com serviço desatento, pratos mal executados, preços desajustados e falta de transparência. Definitivamente não recomendo, especialmente a quem procura autenticidade e respeito...
