Made Inn Portimão — Hotel in Portimão

AN EXPENSIVE ITEM WAS STOLEN||I had a terrible experience with this hotel at the end of my trip. Firstly, the hotel is really small, smaller than the pictures they show, our room was really tiny. But we decided to ignore that and have a good stay. ||There’s no parking spots near the hotel, so we had to park 8 minutes (walking) away from the hotel. At the end of our staying, when we were doing the check out we had to leave the bags in the reception because we couldn’t walk 8 minutes with bags and with 38 degrees weather. When we returned an item was missing. This was the only stop I made before going home. It’s a car trip, no one had access besides the staff in the hotel or other clients. I was informed they don’t have cameras in the reception area. I was even poorly treated by a staff member named Giovanna, she completely disregarded the situation and said basically it was a “me” problem. And there’s nothing she could do. ||This can’t be standard procedure in a hotel. Me, as a paying customer I expect at least some care and respect towards my money and my belongings, your employee simply told me “it’s impossible” as if things like this never happen, I expected her at least to tell me she would look into it and disregard my issue completely. L'Hotel Made Inn si trova nel centro storico di Portimao. Alla reception il primo impatto non è stato molto positivo, l'addetta rispondeva con sufficienza ad ogni richiesta di informazioni. Le sistemazioni sono disponibili dalle 14:00 in poi, per chi arriva prima c'è la possibilità di potersi cambiare nel bagno comune e lasciare i bagagli in deposito. Ai piani si può accedere anche con l'ascensore, ma non c'è la fermata al piano terra, si deve salire una rampa di scale. Ci è stata assegnata una camera al secondo piano, con vista sulla chiostrina interna. La stanza è di dimensioni ridotte, spicca la parete in testaletto dipinta di viola, che incide un pò sulla qualità della luce artificiale. L'arredo si completa con un armadio a due ante, un piccolo scrittoio con sedia, TV a 22" ed A/C. La finestra si affaccia alla chiostrina interna, c'è solo una tenda (bucata) che fa da scuro, non c'è una tenda leggera che ti consente di chiuderla e far entrare la luce senza doverti far vedere dagli ospiti della camera di fronte. Affacciandosi alla finestra si rimane colpiti dagli oltre 25 motori dei condizionatori attaccati al muro come gechi che, a differenza dei simpatici rettili, la notte emettono un fastidioso continuo rumore che non ti fa dormire, e la canna fumaria che, a seconda della direzione del vento ... Il bagno è abbastanza ampio e, caso quasi unico che raro, fornito anche di bidet. Ho viaggiato per 4 continenti, soggiornato in oltre 200 strutture, credo che sia la seconda o terza volta che trovo questo sanitario. Ma a parte questo punto a favore, lo specchio a muro presenta una lunga striscia di ossidazione, il mobile sottolavello un vistoso rigonfiamento sulla base. La vasca, oramai una rarità, è fornita di una doccetta estensibile a muro ed una tenda in plastica troppo corta e troppo stretta così che dopo esserti fatta una doccia ti accorgi che il pavimento del bagno si è allagato. Il phon si può ritirare alla reception, dove è disponibile anche una cassetta di sicurezza. Sufficiente, ma da migliorare, la pulizia della stanza. La colazione viene servita in una sala interrata, ravvivata da forti toni di verde. La qualità e varietà dei prodotti offerti non sono certo all'altezza del prezzo del soggiorno. Buona la selezione del pane, per il resto prodotti da discount. Al piano terra, vicino la reception si trovano una salotto con TV a schermo grande e tre postazioni internet. Il WiFi, gratuito, è disponibile su tutta la struttura. Per il parcheggio si può lasciare fruire del garage dell'Hotel, a breve distanza ed a pagamento, oppure lasciare il proprio mezzo nei parcheggi lungo le strade. Però la sosta è limitata, dalle 8:00 alle 22:00, per sole due ore e costa 1,20 Euro/h. Lasciando l'hotel si possono percorrere le limitrofe vie pedonali dove si trovano diversi negozi e ristoranti di buona qualità oltre ad alcune attrazioni di qualità come la Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, il Teatro Municipale e Piazza della Repubblica. Allungando la passeggiata si arriva al Mercato Municipale. Praia da Rocha, la spiaggia più vicina, si trova a circa tre km (a piedi), sicuramente da visitare. Io in questa struttura non ci tornerò più. Pagare 100 Euro a notte una doppia con colazione (prezzo scontato Genius booking, altrimenti sono 120) sono veramente tanti per una struttura rumorosa, con arredi fatiscenti, pulizia così e così e...
