Hollywood Steak House — Restaurant in Portimão

We were so excited to try this place as we had eaten a lot of Italian food so far. Ordered the mussels (between 4) to start. This was questioned by the waiter, and given alot of funny facial expressions (maybe he didn't realise his inside voice was portrayed on his face) Then the unnecessary comments when collecting the plates after. Perhaps a Portuguese sense of humour was wasted on us irish...but we are known for having the craic.....so I think humor is better not served at the table. After the food, when they came to collect the plates, I requested that my plate not be taken as I was still using some of the food to feed my toddler. I personally didn't see the expression on the waiters face, but all the rest of the table did. My mother and partner wanted to pull the guy aside, I requested this not to be done. We will speak with our tip (which we didn't give) and our feet (we won't return). Food was lovely. It was just such a shame that the service was not. As two people who worked and work in the irish service industry we know how to work and ensure high standards of service. If we were to serve a table in ireland and be as sarcastic and pull as many faces and smirk while serving, you would most definitely be pulled aside by someone at the table and put into line. Steak House Hollywood is an absolute gem!

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I have to say, it was one of the best steak experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for both a romantic date night or a fun evening with friends.

I ordered the Rib Eye, and it was incredible - cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It’s clear they use top-quality cuts, and the preparation was flawless. The starters were equally impressive. The crispy onion rings and chicken wings were delicious and made the perfect way to start the meal.

To top it all off, their cheesecake was the perfect ending - light, creamy, and hands down to my favorite dessert here.

A special shoutout to Alex, one of the staff members who made our night even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. His excellent service really stood out and added to the whole experience.

As soon as you enter the premises you ate greeted at the door by the very friendly staff team. They will seat you and immediately ask you what you would like to drink with an additional water glasses on every table. The owner is very friendly and you will see him very present and talking to all customers ensuring they have a pleasant time. The food is amazing. I had the Penne 'holywood'. It was Penne pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce. It was delicious. It wasn't too creamy which a lot of cream based sauces are. I ate the lot and couldn't be happier. The pricing can be high. At 24 euros a steak id expect if to be of a high value. There are plenty of options and if definately caters to English tourists. Overall I would rate my experience with them am 8/10. My only critism is that there are no cushions on the chairs. You find yourself...
