La Bruschetta PIZZA & SNACK — Restaurant in Portimão

NOT KID FRIENDLY: Our lunch here was going well until an older lady appeared and, over a few pieces of dry pasta spilled on a chair, decided to confront children who were not her own. We were still at the table and would have gladly cleaned it if asked politely. Instead, she created an unnecessary scene that left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. The pasta was dry — it couldn’t even stain — yet this one unpleasant moment has unfortunately overshadowed the rest of the meal, and it’s now the lasting memory we have of this place. There’s nothing wrong with pointing out an issue to parents, but raising your voice at someone else’s kids and acting in a passive-aggressive way over something so minor is simply not acceptable.

1- You have “purely decorational ornaments” in the middle of a restaurant setting that could be dangerous for kids/and your place.

2- You have mentioned a half jar of tiny bit of dry pasta spilled on a chair, and called my kids uneducated. CLEARLY you do not know and welcome kids.

I don’t think I need to say more. This is not kid friendly behavior. Parents respect the kids want to play, and thats what we did. Some dry pasta that we can very easily collect is NOT a problem you create. Finally my kids and education style is not something you can question or assess with some spilled pasta. Fist of all the place is new but brilliant. Such good pizza I have ate only in Rome, we had one called Delicate and it was just delicious, the bottom had perfect texture, not to hard not to soft just perfect. The side dish was simple garlic bread but it was also extraordinary good, the type of bread plus the amount of garlic was just brilliant. The only people that were going there were locals and this really caught our eyes that it was so close to the coast with locals and not tourists. What really requires a recommendation is the stuff, the waiter that was taking care of us was just uber nice and helpful I guess the lady was the best waiter I have ever met. This review is directed at the lady who appeared later during our lunch, not the restaurant overall. We had actually been discussing leaving a 5-star review — until this happened. Over a small spill of dry pasta — while we were still sitting at the table — she saw pasta on a chair and complained directly to my kids, creating an unnecessary scene. It completely ruined what had been a pleasant meal and is now how we will remember this place. We’ve had a wonderful time in Portugal, but this was the only moment that left us feeling unwelcome.
