The only night in Portimao that we decided to go out and our night was ruined by the table next to us and absolute ignorance from the service team. I tend to precise, I have been working in the service industry for a decade now and have an idea that the subject I’m about to touch is sensitive, yet ignorance of the managing team is beyond and above it all. We passed by before opening time to reserve the table and were offered time slots. Little that we knew that we were allocated next to the only table that was going to cost us dinner. 2 toddlers who shouted, used trombones and ran around the whole time. The service and kitchen team were swamped, items on the menu that we chose unavailable. Sure, we went ahead with the recommendations. First round of tapas served after 30 minutes, meat served 45 minutes after we finished the first course. I am honestly putting the stars for food just because we were not able to give it justice as the circumstances under which we were with the kids next to us and absolutely nobody doing anything about it ever after they saw how disturbing it was for all of the guests of the restaurants. Once another table for available they offered us to change the table a bit further. We just wanted to leave. When asked for the bill and addressed the issue, the lady said, I’m sorry but there’s nothing I can do. No gesture on the bill, nothing offered whereas I said, “you know that everyone’s dinner tonight should have been on the bill of this guest you kept entertaining even when you knew that we all were disturbed”. Like I said, hard to do justice to the food that was served from 19:30 till 21:15 (only tapas I remind you), but go there at your own risk of having your...
Read moreA nice authentic Portuguese hidden gem that is behind the main promenade.
We really wanted to taste the real Portuguese cuisine for our last night in Portugal and found this highly recommended place on Google map, we were certainly not disappointed at all.
The owners were very friendly and attentive, even though this is not on the main street, it was still very busy for a Wednesday night. You know you've come to the right place when there are so many locals that come here.
The food was wonderful and the passion fruit sangria just tipped us over 😊. Speaking to the owner, the restaurant was opened in February, they must have built quite a (good) reputation as they were quite busy (while other restaurants were bare).
We were treated with a couple of shots of liquor by the owner towards the end, a lovely gesture and thank you for that.
Should we be back in Portimão with the family, we would definitely go back to this restaurant again. Wishing you all...
Read moreThe Best example of how a restaurant should be. Welcoming, friendly, organised, perfect portion sizes. The smell walking in was just alluring 😍 identifying all of the little ingredients before I even ate the food. I had the goats cheese, sweet potato crisps, chocolate & pecan tart...my god it was DELICIOUS! I dont usually dine out but Sanleti awakened a passion inside of me for food that I never realised I had. The staff felt like ive known them for years even though it was my 1st time. I went there 5 times on my 7 day holiday to portimao. I love how its tucked away in a quiet spot away from the noise..super easy location to find. My mind was blown by every little mouthful of food. I need to return ASAP ☺️ i couldn't belive the price range, so affordable , dined like a queen for the night, didn't feel rushed even when it was busy. So much space between tables. Best experience ever, it made my...
