My wife and I have dined here twice so far on our holiday. On our first visit I had the fisherman's risotto which was packed with huge prawns, razor clams and squid which were all lovely and tender, really a first class dish if you are a fish lover. My wife went a bit simpler having the garlic mushrooms and the melon with ham. Again fresh and delicious. On our second visit we had lunch where my wife and I shared the melon and ham starter followed for me by hands down the best and most succulent squid I have ever tasted and I always have squid whenever it's on a menu at home in Scotland or when we travel to the Mediterranean. My wife really fancied a burger and chips which again the meat the burger was made of was really tasty. We were warmly welcomed on our first visit and we knew we would be coming back. Our second visit equally left us with very full bellies and real satisfaction from a great meal. The atmosphere is lovely. Proper Portuguese hospitality. I can't wait to come back to try one of the grilled fish dishes and I can not recommend this restaurant more highly.

Salty food(God Portugese style) bad staff attitude. I eventually went to this restaurant as its near my residence. I read reviews which indicated that it might be good place to dine. Unfotunately my experiense iwas 100% opposite. Food was so salty that it was uneatable. I returned it with complain, but... then staff started to argue that it is normal and I have poor taste. Then they even tried to charge me for the dish, which I didn't eat and returned. They called me poor person and insulted more. I don't know what were they expecting by insulting customer, but I urge anyone to avoid that place. Ther's much more friendly and better restaurants in Portimao.

See when you are having a nice holidays, everything is perfect, the sun is out, the breeze comes and goes just right to cool you down, a cold glass of sangria calms your thirstiness while enjoying your time with old friends and celebrating life, no dramas (yet) and then... Then the food comes, the flavours are there and remind you old times when you used to eat that food (local quality ingredients) but never paid attention, the effort is there, the service is good, we all laugh, toast and smile! This is a classic example of another local restaurant, nothing outstanding but you know it will not disappoint you and will remind you home. Thank you guys!

Terrible service, arrogant employers with customers. I was in this place waiting to receive my dinner for 1 hour and in which my boyfriend asked if it would take too long considering that we were already waiting a long time which the staff (2 men) called him a liar and was to mock with them after 2 minutes bring the dishes in which the food was poorly prepared. They did not worry and did not attend us anymore. We get up to pay and ask for a complaint book, which the older employee mentions will pay you dearly for the threatening meal. He didn't give us a pen to write, and he even asked for a citizenship card, which we said we didn't make available because he wouldn't let us write anything.

I really do not recommend never come and comment with all the portimao region that we are...

The garlic carrots and olives to start with are so delicious with the bread and sardine pate. For starters I had the homemade fish soup which was devine (especially with the bread dipped in!) and my partner had the grilled mushrooms with chorizo which came out sizzling hot and was such a tasty starter. I then had the delicious Chicken breast steak with garlic and piri-piri which came with fries and salad. My partner had the Grilled Tuna Steak with garlic and olive oil. The fish fell apart with the touch of the fork and it was a mouth watering taste. We managed to squeeze in some dessert with the chocolate cake and caramel vianetta which topped off a magical meal. This is the best food you can find in the Algarve, served by the nicest family. I couldn't recommend this place more....
