We recently dined at Swagat Indian Tandoori Restaurant and had a mostly positive experience. We began with the vegetable samosas, which were flavorful and well-seasoned, a great start to the meal. The Hariyali Chicken Tikka was a highlight—served on a sizzling bed of bell peppers, onions, and cabbage, the meat was tender and juicy, and the accompanying sauce added a delicious depth of flavor. Another standout dish was the Chicken Garlic, which had a nice balance of spice with the fresh ginger adding a fragrant touch. We also ordered garlic naan and pulao rice, both of which were excellent accompaniments to the meal.
To drink, we enjoyed a refreshing mango lassi. It was creamy and delicious, with a subtle saltiness that balanced the sweetness nicely. Throughout the meal, the service was attentive and prompt, enhancing our dining experience.
The only downside occurred at payment. The waiter automatically charged our card in USD without offering us the option to pay in Euros. This resulted in an unfavorable exchange rate and an additional fee. Typically, diners should be presented with the choice to pay in either currency and the opportunity to review and approve the exchange rate. This practice was disappointing and left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise good meal.
Overall, the food and service were commendable, but I’d recommend confirming your payment currency to avoid...

We parked inside Pingo Doce (facing Swagat) which was free and you just get the security person inside the supermarket to validate your ticket. Plenty of parking.
I have rated it 4 ONLY because, inside the restaurant was sooo hot even though they had a few fans on full blast, it was still sooo hot. I understand AC is very expensive but if they could afford it they should definitely invest in it.
We will definitely return to dine here though because the service and food were just fabulous !!!
Thank You all at Swagat…You...
Read moreSwagat Indian Restaurant in Lagos, Portugal, is an absolute delight that deserves every star! The standout star of our evening was Sanhil, whose exceptional service made our visit unforgettable. Sanhil expertly guided us through the curry menu, ensuring we picked the perfect dishes, and his warm, casual chats added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The food was phenomenal—vibrant, flavorful, and authentic, with every bite showcasing the rich spices and quality ingredients. What truly set Swagat apart was Sanhil’s dedication when their tablet failed for Bitcoin payments. He went above and beyond, promptly calling their second restaurant to ensure the transaction worked seamlessly, making it a dream for Bitcoiners like me. The ability to pay with BTC, combined with outstanding service and incredible Indian cuisine, makes Swagat a must-visit for travelers and crypto enthusiasts alike. Highly recommend for the food, the vibe, and Sanhil’s top-notch...
