This restaurant is not in a very passing street, so depite living in the area for years, it was the first time that we tried. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relatively refined inside, but more relax on the terrace (at least that was my perception). The day was very hot and sunny. We sat on the terrace and it was very enjoyable. The terrace is equiped with large sun shape which put the entire terrace in the shade. The food was a bit special since it was the day of Sao Joao, the day after the town's party and the menu was limited. We had the couvert, which is a variety of bread (classic bread, olive bread, different types of broa) with compound better, olive oil and olives. The compound butter probably add a bit of garlic and parsley, very nice, the bread and in particular the broas were very good and the olive were excellent. It was a perect start. Then for main dish we shared grilled robalo (sea bass), moelas (chicken gizzards), rojoes (pork meat from the leg slowly braised). Everything was delicious. I love moelas and rojoes and my experience from other restaurants is that while moelas is good most of the time, rojoes is not always as soft and tasty as it should be. Here it was great. We had dessert: ice cream, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and baba de camelo (a caramel mousse). Everything was good. For 4 adults and 1 child we paid 85€, which is very reasonable especially when everything is delicious. I will come back and I warmly recommend...
Read moreThis was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! First 2 hours in Porto and it could not have been any better. The food 5/5, the service 6/5, the atmosphere 5/5. Our waiter Pedro was probably the best waiter I've ever experienced! Bringing out our dishes 1 by 1 as they we ate them, catering to new foreiners with patience and charm, and he even brought a blanket out for mom just because he thought she might be chilly. Considering this place is only 1 year old and only caters to the very local locals they know how to treat a customer. If youre out this way and away from the city center...
Read moreOne of the best random surprise ever! I've been there before to go to an exhibition, a bit randomly and with the support of Google maps, of course! But I really was positively surprised by the quality of both food and service. Fish was perfectly cooked, sidedish too, desserts were simple and well executed... Owners were very professional, smily and helpful to find the right display for the 8 people dîner including 4 kids. Now, I know I will come back for the...
