Santo Burga — Restaurant in Porto

In a word Wow. This was a fantastic experience all around. It started with some amazing staff. They made us Canadians feel very welcomed. With big smiles and being so helpful with the menu.

Our meal started with white Sangria. Strawberries, pineapple, lemon, mint, and a touch of cinnamon. It was perfect.

We decided on a hamburger and a chicken salad, a couple of there most popular items. This was an extremely memorable burger. Perfectly cooked medium burger (so juicy and full of flavor) with some amazingly seasoned homemade fries. Chicken salad was also perfectly seasoned chicken breast and fresh salad with a homemade vinaigrette.

As with all good food you must start with great ingredients and this was no exception. Everything made from scratch in the hands of some experts. Well done… Well done! Thanks for the...

We had a plain hamburger & a vegetarian burger which had a 'pink bun'...it was delicious..! Made with beers, it was soft and the flavour was delicate & lovely. I may have to go back and have another one!! Both burgers were served with perfectly cooked fries and also a lovely mustard mayo dip....with a secret recipe!!!?!!! We then had a lime mouse to end our meal, light & delicious. Beautiful meal, we were wonderfully attended to by Luis, who was a great server and explained the choices (the menu was not in English) he made sure we knew everything we needed to make an informed choice on the menu....and that we had an enjoyable evening meal. The burger of my dreams! We went here after reading all the great reviews. The burgers exceeded our expectations, dare I say possibly the best burgers we have ever had! It was so good that we ordered another burger instead of dessert. Of course we ate there multiple times during our stay in Porto and it was just as good every time. We tried several starters, sangria and desserts on our second visit and found them good too. The burger is the star though. The second time we went they even had a menu available in English, although we manage fine with Portuguese menus. The service was really fast and the interior was cosy with all the retro signs around the place. Definitely a hidden gem in an area most tourists wouldn't reach as it's not near the city centre....
