Delman Bar and Lounge is undeniably a very pleasant place with an excellent atmosphere and a phenomenal view. The nighttime experience at this bar is truly fantastic and arguably the best bar on Terceira Island.
The food offered is very tasty and brings a touch of innovation with flavors typical of the region, which is a distinctive feature of this establishment. However, it's worth noting that the doneness of the meat doesn't always come as desired, which can be a minor inconvenience for some customers.
The service, while friendly, seemed to face some challenges with inexperienced staff. This led to confusion in order delivery, and the table system also appeared somewhat chaotic, as there wasn't a dedicated server for each table. Nevertheless, it's noteworthy that the staff made a constant effort to enhance the customer experience.
An undeniable highlight is the couple who owns the bar, who received well-deserved praise. Their dedication to service quality and the customer experience is evident, and they significantly contribute to the charm of the place.
In summary, Delman Bar and Lounge offers an overall pleasant experience with tasty food and an incredible atmosphere. Despite some minor service hiccups, the warm hospitality of the owner couple and the stunning ambiance make this bar a must-visit destination on...
Read moreI have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars - the only thing going for this place is it’s location. We came in around 10pm on a Sunday night (they close at 1am). The drinks were all weak and didn’t even taste right. For example - the Moscow mule tasted like straight sour mix. Moscow mules don’t even take sour mix! I’m convinced that everything that calls for “lime” on the menu uses sour mix instead. The long island iced tea tasted like plain coke, and the porn star martini was bitter and watered down. However, the food was good. We enjoyed the prosciutto bruschetta, wings, and shrimp tempura which were all great. Our servers were friendly but not too attentive.
I would definitely not come here again. (Side note: the men I were with said there was more urine on the bathroom floor than in the toilet…) It was way expensive compared to other options on the island - but if I had to I would stick to the petiscos and beer because at least they won’t add sour...
Read moreWe had dinner on sunday evening during a peak. The staff was really friendly and the food more or less delicious. For sure everything had a good value.
There were a lot of guests and as well a lot of staff. But the interesting fact in this restaurant was, that every waiter/waitress does a bit everything. If felt to be like in a bee house. From the time we sat down until the food came we talked to five different people (staff). More or less did we tell everyone the same story over and over again. As a guest that was a bit annoying. At the end it worked out, but instead of talking once to a staff and place our order, we did it five times...
Maybe as an idea for the boss: Make sectors and plan your staff accordingly. Then each waiter/waitress is responsible for his/her few tables and knows all the time, how far each guest is at the time. It might be more comfortable for your...
