Sabores do Pinhal – Uma verdadeira surpresa no coração da Sertã O restaurante Sabores do Pinhal foi, sem dúvida, a melhor surpresa da minha visita à Sertã. Apesar de estar localizado num espaço discreto, no edifício do Terminal de Autocarros, mesmo na mítica Estrada Nacional 2, revela-se um local de excelência, tanto pela comida como pelo atendimento. Logo à chegada, fomos recebidos pelo Sr. Jorge com uma simpatia e atenção notáveis. Fez questão de garantir que tudo estivesse perfeito para o nosso grupo, e só posso agradecer todo o cuidado e carinho demonstrados. Começámos pela sopa de peixe, que surpreendeu pelo sabor intenso e muito bem apurado. Para prato principal, não podia deixar de escolher os famosos maranho, um dos meus pratos preferidos. Aqui, senti uma diferença clara em relação a outros que já provei: os maranhos do Sabores do Pinhal são de facto especiais, provavelmente dos melhores que já comi. Descobri este restaurante quase por acaso, mas tornou-se rapidamente numa escolha obrigatória sempre que voltar à Sertã. Recomendo vivamente, aliás, recomendo a 200%!

A large restaurant with space for hundreds on several floors and terraces with traditional service, a good menu and an absolutely extraordinarily quality priced wine list. We had appetisers, maranhas, battered dourada filet (with fish bones!!), shrimp in Russian salad, an excellent red Douro, waters, and coffee for €35/pax.

Um restaurante sem dúvida de eleição na Sertã , a começar pelo serviço, onde tanto o dono do restaurante como os empregados são sempre muito atenciosos e prestáveis durante o serviço, a sopa de peixe costuma estar melhor mas mesmo assim estava boa . As entradas são muito saborosas, especialmente os enchidos regionais. Os pratos , a picanha veio no ponto pedido , o cachaço de porco preto também estava muito saboroso e os cogumelos são muito bons e diferenciados. As sobremesas também são muito saborosas , principalmente o leite creme e doce da casa na minha opinião. Um restaurante onde o ótimo serviço se alia à qualidade superior da comida .

We had the lamb and the monkfish rice which were both delicious but this was not the best part. The best part of the evening was the host. He spoke perfect English, he was friendly, forthcoming, attentive, he was aware of everything what was going on in the restaurant and still had time to pour our wine. The only mistake made was by us. My friend looked like he came from the beach so he was a bit underdressed but of course this was not frowned upon. So for lack of the possibility of given 10 stars a well deserved 5...

Not a touristic restaurant, they don't have english manue and everything was absolutely great! The people were nice, service was fast, food was fresh, tastey and relatively cheap for the quality. We got there right before the lunch-time peak and by the time we left it was completely full, with good reason. This was the perfect final meal of our trip to Portugal! couldn't have been better. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the flavors were all incredible. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the owner went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic experience.
