the restaurant is in a very touristy spot but it still manages to retain its own character and serve some great seafood dishes. We took sardines, grilled squid and some salads a were very impressed with the quality. One of the many great places that make Portugal a heaven for the lovers of fresh fish and seafood. But there was something else I'd like to add. At the end of our meal, one of our kids got injured by a fan (it was totally my fault as I was holding him too high and didn't notice the ceiling fans). He got a massive cut to his head and had to be taken to the hospital. I witnessed how the owner and staff helped us out, calling for the ambulance, bringing the towels, ice and first aid kits. Very grumpy and rude servers who smoke while on duty/ in front of customers, bang the tables while setting it up with plates and cutleries, and do not bother responding to simple greetings and thank you’s (in English or Portuguese). Clearly not happy with their job or maybe they dislike foreigners? Food was okay though prices are high for what you get. The stuffed crab - you could barely taste the crab and the texture was soft vs meaty, it is similar to the shrimp pate served on the table with bread, it tasted like fake imitation shrimp/crab which has no bite The Arroz de Marisco tasted okay and is a huge serving though they have used frozen shrimps together with some fresh ones (texture, taste and look is different) to make it look like there’s more seafood. Swordfish was amazing, delicious fish, well prepared with just sea salt. The meat was white and flaky and perfectly cooked, excellent flavor. I loved the ambiance, right in front of the beach and we had the place to ourselves as it was a Monday evening at 8:30pm. My son's steak was savory and juicy. Service was ok as there was a portugal soccer match playing and the servers were more interested in the game however I don't blame them as they live for their national team.
