Visiting Praia de Sesimbra was an incredibly refreshing experience. Located in a charming coastal town just south of Lisbon, this beach combines natural beauty with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The water is calm and clear, ideal for swimming or just wading in while soaking up the sun. The sand is soft and golden, and the entire beach is well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot to spend the day. One thing I appreciated was how accessible the beach is, with nearby parking and a promenade lined with cafes, seafood restaurants, and ice cream shops. Prices in the area are quite reasonable, especially when compared to other beach towns, making it an accessible option for families or solo travelers. What makes Praia de Sesimbra special is not just its scenic beauty, but also the strong maritime history of the town. Known for its fishing traditions, Sesimbra still has an active port, and you can often see colorful fishing boats near the harbor. The historic fort overlooking the beach adds to the charm, offering a glimpse into the region’s past and stunning panoramic views. While the beach can get busy during peak summer months, I found it much more peaceful in the mornings or during the shoulder season. The overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a day of swimming, sunbathing or simply strolling along the shore.

Sesimbra Beach is a picturesque gem with crystal-clear waters and soft golden sand, nestled between dramatic cliffs. Its calm, shallow waters make it ideal for swimming and family outings, while the surrounding restaurants serve fresh seafood with ocean views. As a Photographer, I personally will appreciate the blend of natural beauty and the vibrant charm of the town's waterfront. Also some of the murals which I find it very interesting near the beach
