Let me preface this with - there are only 28 seats total, and that was pre-CoVid restrictions. So, I’m hesitant to even share how outstanding this place is because I don’t want to have to wait in line to eat there again! But even if we had to wait, it would be worth it!...They accept reservations. Opens 7:30. Serves food at 8:00PM...A little off the beaten path of main streets. Outstanding food! OUTSTANDING! And absolutely - hands down - the best service we have ever received in Sesimbra! All the dishes are fresh and well-timed. The staff are incredibly professional, kind, and overly apologetic if they’ve guessed incorrectly that you may not speak the language. They have full training - clearly - on “points of service.” They mark the tables. (Restaurant people will know what I am talking about.) They serve from the correct side. They collect items from the correct side. They refill drinks at an appropriate pace. They clear plates at an appropriate pace. They ask kindly, before taking anything or adding anything to the table...I haven’t seen that in a long, long, time! (I really hope the staff that served us, read this - you were amazing!) And you’re table isn’t handled by a ton of people. One or two at best. Highly, highly, recommend the white port tonic with spiralized green apples and basil garnish! All the food is light and delicate! Four dishes and a salad was enough for four people! The desserts were outstanding as well! Images on my...

A Hidden Gem: A Romantic Tapas Experience" Nestled in a cozy, intimate setting, O Zagaia offers a truly delightful dining experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening or a leisurely meal with friends. The food is a standout, with each dish prepared with exquisite care and presented beautifully. From the rich flavors to the artful plating, every bite is a culinary delight. While the restaurant can be a bit pricier, the quality of the food and the overall ambiance make it well worth the investment. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as this popular spot can fill up quickly. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, so plan ahead. A tip for first-time visitors: Treat O Zagaia as a tapas destination. Order a few small plates to share and savor the variety of flavors. This approach allows you to fully appreciate the culinary artistry on offer. Overall, O Zagaia is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, charming atmosphere, and attentive service makes it a truly...

We visited this restaurant in Sesimbra after hearing all the hype but honestly, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The interior is undeniably stunning and super Instagrammable; everything looks polished and fancy, and the presentation of the food is modern and creative, perfect for a stylish night out.

However, the portions were noticeably small compared to the price, and the food itself didn’t agree with us in the end. The deep-fried cuttlefish, for instance, was chewy and overly fatty. We got upset stomach after dinner. Service was another downside. it was very, very slow throughout the evening.

If you’re looking for a fancy dinner with a high-end feel and are willing to overlook the drawbacks, this might be your pick. For us, though, there are definitely better options in Sesimbra, and we wouldn’t be...

It was an old and very known seafood place and coffee house. Today is a very relaxed and fantastic place to share food and good moments. The cuttlefish croquettes explode in the mouth with a surprising taste, the freshness of the octopus and the mix with the white beans it’s complex but very innovative. The Razor Clams rice it’s also great but it lacked a little bit of more razor clams to get the experience of that sea flavour. In the end we tried the salted caramel, banana and peanuts and oh my god, what an experience. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Very good music and vibe. A place to return and bring friends
