Got the carapau and a swordfish dish, both tasted fine. There was a hair in my side of boiled potatoes. Husband and I shared a dessert (a tarte), and he mentioned that it tasted like when a dessert has been sitting in the refrigerator for a while. After we ate that dessert, we both started feeling weird in the stomach. Husband then started throwing up in the car ride back home, which lasted almost an hour. I am currently also having symptoms of inflammation throughout my body. I would be very careful about eating here if you don't want to risk getting sick. The restaurant was either neglectful of the freshness of their products, or purposefully trying to sell older desserts to not lose money from it. Either way, it's a bad...

Went in with good expectations based on the reviews, unfortunately didn't deliver. The prawns were almost certainly frozen, they were soggy and not very appetising to say the least. Sea bass and salmon were fine, but compared to the myriad of seafood restaurants in the area they are severely lacking. The staff are not the friendliest, they seemed offended when we didn't want some of the couvert 'options', and the few times we asked for things (another bottle of water, another beer) they made it seem like an inconvenience. Won't be back to inconvenience them again.

And then they send me a message being rude on Google maps,...

A must-visit in sesimbra!

The staff were friendly and relaxed, and the service felt genuine not rushed, but always there when you needed something. The restaurant itself has a cosy, local feel with a beautiful view if you’re sitting outside. it’s honest, welcoming, and focused on great food.

during my visit I ordered the grilled salmon, and it was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of natural flavours!

Whether you’re a tourist or local in Sesimbra and love proper Portuguese seafood, this place is 100% worth a visit. We left full, happy, and already planning...

Stumbled across this place by accident and seen their sign with some very reasonably priced food as we were not looking for anything fancy. Really loved the chilled atmosphere of this restaurant, its actually very "hippish" with the owners paintings hanging around. The waitress, Rita, was one of the loveliest and funniest people and made our visit. The food was so good, I had the Steak and others had the meatballs and the star of the show was the Chicken wings...absolutely gorgeous. When in Sesimbra and you want to eat somewhere that's relaxing and doesn't break the bank the O Pescador is worth a visit.

I don’t understand how this restaurant has these many positive reviews, maybe we were unlucky? My spaghetti a la pescador (which should be the main dish of the restaurant) were terrible. They were full of water and oil, the spaghetti overcooked, and without any flavor whatsoever, plus chunks of garlic everywhere! Sorry but you should not offer pasta if you can’t make it! Probably grilled fish would’ve tasted better Edit: I have complained to the waiter and nothing changed - therefore my bad review to the service as well.
