Don't waste your time and money at this place. Over rated. Tourist trap. Very tiny portions, so the price is expensive. The entire whole size piri piri chicken (not half size) is about the size of a pigeon. About the size of my hand. The flavor of the chicken is nothing special. I have had much better piri piri chicken else where. Th r piri piri chicken comes with a plate of french fries. We also ordered the beef sirloin steak. It is only cooked one way, medium. It is very thin. Maybe 2 ounces of beef. It comes with a fried egg and French fries. The french fries are not great either. Nothing special. They charge 0.30 euro for each packet of ketchup or mayonnaise. We did not order the couvert, but they brought olives and bread to us anyways. We said no thank you and they gracious...

Absolutely fantastic experience at this authentic family-run Portuguese gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends by the welcoming staff. The atmosphere was cozy, full of character, and made us feel like we were dining in someone’s home.

The highlight of the evening was definitely the Chicken Piri-Piri. It was grilled to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and just the right amount of spice.

The service was great, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed, without being overbearing. You can really tell this is a family-run place.

We had several meals there during our stay. The staff was welcoming and introduced us to several aspects of Portuguese cuisine. The dishes were prepared with care and excellence. It felt like eating at someone’s home. We had the arroz de linguareiro, the chicken piripiri, the sardines, and they were all very tasty.
